That's one hell of a plant In a 5 gallon bucket. Wouldnt you have to pH down to like 5.5 in coco ? My ph out the tap is like 8.That's the only down side I can see. It would become a pain in the ass to me as I don't have a pH meter. Im all for experimentation tho I say do a couple in coco but don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Coco is the way i did one in 100% coco in the ground solid big nugs just watch out for those pesky bud worms. Had another one in ffof and it was beautiful but not as solid of buds same plant too. Never checked the pH once

Yeah I think 5.8 ph is optimum. I will buy a ph pen for the coco plants. I am just going to do a few and see how it works out......Then if I can run it right, I'm gonna slam all my eggs into that one basket haha.

One of my smart pots is that new fox farms coco "bush whacker" IIRC....it's got tons and tons of perlite in it....
I did a bunch of soil mixes this year...
I'm going to use the one from the pet store I think. The kind you get in a brick.

I switched to coco and I love/hate it. Amazing growth but a pain in the ass to ph. 5.8 Is what you need for coco. I'm using organic amendments too, with dolomite. If I don't ph down the leaves show, they twist. I completely switched, no more peat or soil for me.

I would rethink the brick. It's a lot of work to get it ready for use. I'm using bonticare ready grow. Its ready right out the bag, just add fertilizer and water.

I will also say the bricks are awful..tons of extra work and they don't break down to as much as they say it will...I use black gold just coco inside with dyna-gro nutes

If you have the time and the patience Rock on. If I didn't live where it gets so hot I'd try a 30 gallon Hempy plant.

I was going to buy soil, and some new nutrients, but I already have AN's PH Perfect Micro, grow, bloom, Bud Blood, Big Bud, and Carboload. My plants are already in coco so I may as well get a few 15 -20 gal grow bags, and more coco.
