Here's mine didn't expect to be so dark I used red poison
Anybody uses dark purple bud for canna butter

The colour is just from the dark purple bud it's not the watery stuff that gets left over

You just reheat it with water
- Melt your cannabutter in a pot and ensure the mixture doesn’t go above a maximum temperature of 250 degrees Fahrenheit. The ideal range is between 212 and 230 degrees.
- Add the same amount of water to the pot as its cannabutter content. For instance, if you have 400ml of cannabutter when it is melted, add 400ml of water. Stir for a minimum of 30 seconds to remove the unwanted material.
- Place the melted mixture into the fridge until the water has separated from the butter and the butter is solid. Don’t make the mistake of placing the mixture in the freezer to try and speed up the process. All you’ll succeed in doing is ruining the consistency of the cannabutter.
- Once the butter is fully cooled, you’ll notice it floating on top of the water. Drain the water, and benefit from delicious and clean cannabutter.

Yes I've had to do that before but never added water. After it solidified I melted it again and there was no water but I did put it in the freezer for a second like 5 min so I'll try again doing what you said but it should be dark though because of the bud

Well I use coconut oil instead of butter, but it's the same general concept. When you make your butter, fill a pot full of weed and water, then add your butter/oil. Boil it all together for a few hours, and then strain out the plant material. Once you've strained out the liquid, place it into the refrigerator, then once cool, the butter/oil will rise to the top and solidify, leaving the water below with lots of impurities to be discarded.

If you melted your solidified butter in hot water then let it solidify again, it will clean up the darkness and taste. You cannot taste canna this way.
All cannabutter gets dark.

yup 1:1 ratio water:butter/coconut oil. I use a rice cooker to cook out the excess water after it’s been solidified and drained. Cuts off once the waters gone and only heats to 212. I’ll have a bunch of purple trim once all my blackstraps finish. I’ll cook a batch with it and see how it comes out.

I use a method with a canning jar and water to wash the dark color and weed flavor out of my butter
The jar let’s me poke a hole thru butter letting liquid drain off after being put in freezer
2 or 3 washes will really clean it up

I've cleaned the butter but it's still pretty much the same because I used very dark strain called red poison
