this is a 600 dollar portable air cond. which does have a vent exhaust in which i will tye into my room exhaust. it doesnt have a drain because its really high efficiency and uses the wator vapor to cool. it also dehumidifies the air and filters it 3m style. i was wondering if i should put it in the bedroom that the grow room is enclosed in. here soon in april it will get hot in the upstairs bedrrom because i have no central air cond. in my house

it has a exaust vent, i started out by running it out my 8 inch exaust and carbon filter... but after an hour the squirrel cage exaust was getting so hot i rethought that and ran it out it's on 6 inch. Room has 6 400w's and it manages to keep up. It's suppose to dehumidify 60 liters a day too, but i found that was inaccurate and popped in a frigidair dehumidifier. I have 60 in flower, 6 mothers rotating through and clones, i've been pretty satisfied, i have it set at 75, it kicks in at 80 and brings it back to 75 quick, the room is insulated to so that helps. mines 1 1/2 ton. I run the exaust out into the attic which is ventilated at 2100 cfm's from there out behind the house. My ballasts arent in the room, i imagine if they were it wouldnt keep up but havent proven that.. nor want to lol. I wish i could be more helpful.

i'm using a portable aircon in one of the rooms at the moment, the side the sun hits when it comes up... i've just got the exhaust ducting tied in after the carbon filter, and it puts cold air into the room the cube is in, then the cold air in the room gets sucked into the cube and goes from there...

its not an evaporative cooler, doesnt need water, it does drip into a tray that needs empying every 8-12 hours odd if its on maximum, but i'm going to setup an overflow for the little removable tray so it won't bother me again..

ive used it for some freakishly hot days, but generally i leave it on 19 degrees during lights off, ive found i've got noticeably denser & more crystal covered buds this way.. (although its not an issue in winter), its the peak of summer here at the moment though

hope this helps, regards

i use that shit more as an ionizer/dehumidifier.. and when the temps are low it does make them lower... but anything 78+ your right it's pretty pointless

its cold outside right now and the temps are staying just right around 76 all day. so it wont take much warm up to get this room to warm.....
