Anyone been to jail in Florida?

Someone I know is doing 6 months and I tried to put money on the phone for her, but ended up doing debit or some shit. So are you notified in jail that you have phone credit and given the pin #? Or do I have to send a postcard telling her the that she has credit on the phone, and give her the pin.
The system sucks, i'm glad i'm not in it.

In Fla it might be a while even after they tell her before she gets to use the phone. It depends on where this person is. I was in one place they had 2 pay phones for the hole dam jail. Sucks big time. You might get to call at 2 in the morning.
