There IS a reason. Too large of a container stays wet way too long and therefore is prone to root rot.
Correct. So many times roots are poking from the bottom....just looking for air.
The need to transplant means a much faster yield, why slow it downcwhen its not necessary. I read about and have tried all these intense training methods and now laugh at how unnecessary they are
Its not necessary in this case. You see how young his seedling is? The leaf curl is 100% not from root bound. Id go deeper and say ammonia pocket and not enough calcium. But will usually correct itself quickly.

Roots as thick as his stalk is what i meant
I always thought that thinner more abundant mass was more efficient. Area of surface vs volume. Dammit, tearing out all my plants that are stacking 12” colas at 3 W in and 7 W to go. Can you link me to your journal Bruh.

More efficient but overall slower. See how thin his roots are. Thats all he has to keep all those leaves growing going and growing new buds. Must be slower than massive thick and more abundant roots

He still hasn't
Yes, unfortunately. We're getting more of these types of "I saw a video on Youtube, now I'm an expert master grower" users lately. Again, I sense that some of them are being operated by the same user. It's even more scary if not though. Means there are more of them.
I never said anything about youtube videos who are you talking about? Are you projecting?

I run two rooms on a flip, each about 10kW and 6 plants. Together they pull in the mid 50 pound range each run. Trying to make weight with a plant count grow. Most of the veg takes place in the veg room with 1 - 3 kW (turn on lights as they grow).

I have put rooted clones directly into 10 gallon pots. They grow slower in the 10 gallon pots than if I put them in 6 inch pots and then later into the 10 gallon when they are about 18 - 24 inches tall.

So for laziness I have gone directly to large pots but I have seen first hand how much faster they grow if in smaller pots and have more wet/dry cycles in a given time frame.
You know it. Graduated repotting is taught in horticulture.

Look at this pic youll get a good idea of a good container size. They are sitting in plastic shoe mats abke to hold water. You can buy them at dollar store. The containers are the small recycling bins. Btw if you are going to judge those yello leaves that's whoever's lack of understanding that this is normal yellowing bottom up during flowering oh and one time watering a bit late. As they go yellow trim them 1 inch from stalk but only when over half yellow and only a couple every few days even if you really hate the look of them, trimming faster makes the next ones yellow sooner especially well into flowering which is the process of your plant producing buds in order for seeds as it understands it is preparing for death. It understands this like it understands the seasons changing
UMMM,
That yellowing is not “ normal “ for early flower . They are super lanky and leggy from your light or lack of it.
Clawed leaf , etc.
Plants look more like bamboo. Sorry .

I use only 1000w between 3 plants and 4 to 5 oz dry bud per plant just over 3 months full grow. No offense but you get nowhere near that timeline under such a low light setting. My lights go up in layers, helps a lot. Side lights too
Who's using a low-light setup? Are you talking about Renfro? You do know what 10kW means, right?

Also, show pictures of your grows. The only pics I found were ones where you're using a blurple with some CFLs.

WOW... that gets me 3 more cycles per year, of early weed that won’t get a 15 year old a biz. I havnt run a good Sativa cross that went under 70 days?

What are these lights you're using, are they actually drawing 1000 watts?

So you aren't even getting 2 pounds per 1000 watter? I am aware of side lighting, I use a little myself.
You still haven't told me how long the total grow for the yield you say of 5lbs per plant. Anyhow that pic you showed me of a plant in a tiny pot is at that point nowhere near 5lbs and more like 4 to 5 oz which is around what i get per plant in just over 3 months start to finish. That is weighing dry buds, not the whole plant or big branches thats cheating
Here are some pics of one of my rooms in flower. I am only weighing pounds after neatly hand trimmed and bagged for sale.

This one was a test of a 1kW DE CMH lamp that a buddy in China sent me to test, wasn't impressed compared to the DE HPS. Frosty but yields suffered.
