I know a guy like that too. Everyone else gets just wasted from my edibles and he doesn't feel a thing. They must have a higher threshold with the blood/brain barrier or something. He gets good and baked from smoking weed, but nothing from an edible.
I forget what thread it was on icmag, but apparently some people are lacking in a chemical that helps to process THC in your liver. Some folks can't really get high off edibles. I have met a couple people like this as well.

Also I'm looking for vegetable glycerin but online some say it's good grade and reviews say It's not. Any recommendations on brand?

So I gotta tell this story. Basically this was made with 1z of trim put into a half cup coconut oil. That in turn made 40 cookies....

Ok so my buddie who smokes like all of us ate half a cookie like I told him (1 is too much) and he said he wasn't sure if he was dreaming like kinda half awake half asleep.... woke up laying down with one arm pointed at the ceiling like Frankenstein Ha, he said he was confused as shit just starting at his arm that seemed to have its own mind when he came to haha. I guess it's funnier if you saw him acting it out, but still hilarious. Just wanted ya to have a good laugh

I've been scoping these used on eBay and have been seeing a lower cost competitor called the Easy Butter Maker. Does anyone here have first hand experience with the that brand?

Ok, I just read the reviews. The Easy Butter Maker is an overpriced, rebranded, repurposed espresso maker and is mediocre for making butter.

Another member posted his from the 2015 Denver Cannabis cup, 600 Club section, and I thought I would share.

I am not impressed with this after 2 attempts. Heres my problem making butter with the machine.
The directions say DO NOT ADD WATER. I ended up twice with this lump of butter soaked weed in the bottom that wont strain. I had to add water at the end just to get it to strain.
Dont waste your money on this thing folks. Overpriced milkshake maker. Crockpot is better.
If anyone wants to buy this piece of shit PM me. Still have box and everything

I have had a chance to see one first hand. It's a well built machine. But it's overpriced quite a bit and perhaps this is in the design as well (a simple heat control and timer would suffice really). Just my opinion.

I recommend calling the mb customer support, sounds like maybe you didn't use enough butter? Or maybe need the less porous straining bag?

Use coconut oil! It's strains out like water at the end! And the machine looked jammed full with trim.

And I've figured out that this makes it so there is actually about 5 minutes of my time in each batch.

I'll prob make a YouTube video so people can see, the videos online now kinda suck ha.

Dubious I guarantee something is going on, not enough butter to min line is my guess?

I always do 2 cups or a little over do that's 4/5 sticks of butter

Trust me, put in 2.25 cups coconut oil (sold above 75°) and the bud (I use 2-4z trim)

Then it comes out perfect.... Tell me exactly what you did if you want help...

Also you gotta strain it shortly after it finishes so it's in liquid state, if you wait a long time it will just turn into a big lump of butter.

Dont give up! There aren't many steps to mess up so I guarantee it'll be easy to figure out

I used enough butter, it was over the min line...about 1 1/4 lbs. prob close 2 oz of popcorn and trim. Did not go over the max line. Ran it at 160 on butter setting and tried to strain immediately when done. It didnt cool at all.
What came out of the machine was like a lump of grass when you cut your lawn and its wet. Wouldnt strain at all with the bag they provided. Poured the lump into a lg bowl, boiled up some water and mixed it all up. Pulled out the cheesecloth and strained it.
I saved the batch by adding the water and got a nice frisbee of cannabutter.
I just dont understand the directions say 'dont add water'....thats a major part of the crockpot recipe to get all the butter out of the mix
I want butter! If they called it the Magical Coconut Oil Machine I wouldnt have bought it to begin with

Haha, yeah the butter works well for me too, weird. Like I said call em up they'll get to the bottom of it and their customer support is legit.

And I have done the crock pot method, it's just honestly a pain in the balls. More work than it's worth for me most times. This machine makes it as easy as using a keurig machine ha.

I also never could make the gorilla tranquilizers with the crockpot because it would take forever for me to get all the trim saturated. The first time I used this machine I was like wtf, there's too much trim and not enough oil... I was wrong, after it was done the plant matter was reduced to a small fraction of the size. I'm sure you can do that with a crockpot but you're gonna be over it stirring for a while if you put a lot of plant matter in there....

Also everyone I talked to say put it on the crockpot for 6, 12 or even 24 hours. I was skeptical but this thing did it in 1 hr for oil and 2 hrs for butter. Consistent results everytime. I wish I could let you use mine next to the crockpot ha, you'd prob never use the crockpot again after trying it

I don't understand why you find the crockpot method so annoying. It is a nicely built machine, I'm sure it will last you a long time. And no doubt it's easier to store than a crock pot. The milkshake option is neat. Although I wonder how it's made exactly.

I always just put the amount of butter I'm making into the pot add a similar portion water, let it melt then add the weed and let it sit for 8 hours. Easy to clean up and you can make a nice amount in a sitting if you have one of the bigger pots. I also have done it on the stove with a gigantic pot and like 16+lbs of butter. Add some water too and put it on low heat. Let sit 8 hours and then run it through a commercial grade strainer + cheese cloth and bam. Enough butter for a good part of the year or more.
