I am going to get some bt spray to use on the plants for preemptive treatment against budworms, but really I have no idea if there are budworms up here in the northeast but better safe than sorry.

I do have a couple plants flowering but they are being eaten alive by slugs so I got something called Slug Magic by bonide. the active ingredient is Iron phosphate, if anyone konws if that works please let me know

Thanks

dont know for sure, but probably not. Besides, slugs are the eseaist pest to control by baiting to poison, or simply drown them in a sunken cup or beer. its easier to kill slugs before they reach your plant from the ground.

ok thanks. In my situation I can't visit the plants very often so that is the problem. I'll use the snail and slug killer
