Is there a reason you don't just grow it from seed? Cuts you never know if what you're getting is the real deal a lot of the time unless it's a trusted source...

You know I've wondered about that. How do you know the seeds are what is described either? Now I like seeds and go with them for new genetics because (1) I don't have any local connections, and (2) They are super easy to get a large selection of, and finally (3) You have zero risk of mites, mildew etc.. from them unless your grow room is already hosting this.

So I'm very pro seed but I still don't know how to tell if the genetics are what they say? So that's a dilemma I'm still struggling with.

You just do a little research and get the seeds from a reputable breeder. If you've got random seeds, they're probably not going to come out looking like real c99 you can find pics online or if you've grown her like me you'd know her :) There aren't a lot of strains that grow like her with her tropical pineapple/pina colada type smells. She doesn't grow like a lot of the most popular hybrids either it's not like they could send you any old seeds and they'd pass for c99. It's also not the most in demand strain either so there's not really a lot of reason to fake that you have it.

if you have access to good c99 clones, go for it why not other than potential mites or diseases... just saying if you don't have good access to c99 clones, there are always seeds and you could end up with a better cutting from seed than the clone you got at a dispensary.
