First time grower and LED builder
I've spent weeks researching and browsing forums, and nearly filled a notebook with notes. Hoping someone can take a look at what I have planned out for lighting to ease my mind before purchasing.
First off the room will be approx 5x7, with a planned grow space of 4x5. Will be sealed with inlet and outlet for heat and humidity control.
Parts list:
Citizen COB CLU058 1825:
(3)3000k (7)3500k
Paired with 5 HLG-240H-C2100B
With BJB holders which should run them around 110w on full
10 artic alpine plus CPU coolers (rated at 100w dissipation)
I also have 2 spare units from my reek keeping hobby. They are 250w each. Half blue (450mn) and half "cool white". They use 3w cree LEDs. With built in dimmers and fans. Are they worth using for supplement lighting? At least the blue, not sure on spectrum of the white.
I plan on trying a variety of growing methods including (one day way down the road) aquaculture. I have an 8ft freshwater tank on the other side of one wall of the grow room.
For now, incase anyone wants to know, I plan on doing 6 autoflowers in a recirculating DWC/top fed set up (approx 1.75 sq ft per plant) and 2 photoperiod in soil (4sq ft+) that will veg for the entire cycle of the autos and then be flowered with the entire room to themselves.
Any tips, thoughts, criticism greatly welcomed!
