Anyone take a 4x4x7 grow tent and put a table in and run 2 grows? Be ideal for a from clone perpetual harvest IMO.

Questions:

How do you route the ducting for air cooled lights? The top section will be easy but the bottom I see troubles.. I'm thinking it'll take 2 fans.. Any ideas? Looks like there's ducting on 2 sides of the tent top and bottom. I havn't seen one in person.

Would a 400w placed 3.5' from the floor light a 4x4' section? I've never placed a light so low... Using 3.5 gal buckets and clones are less than 12 inches tall, so I think the light will be 1.75' above the canopy.

Hoods are fancy air cooled ones from hydroponics.net. They're said to drive more light downward but don't mention how well the spread it out.

Personally I think your plants are going to outgrow that space rather quick unless you are going to scrog them or something to that effect. Don't get me wrong I think you could do it but I think that it would not be worth the effort and money. If you have the room and want two rooms I would build a tent out of poly and 2x4's. If you do that you can make your "tents" fit any size you need. I would leave your plants plenty of room for height and in fact limit them in width,as you could build a 5'x4' to any height which could be sectioned off into two areas to run perpetual and if you wanted to you could easily take out the middle piece of poly and run a full table of SOG. Personally I recommend giving your plants at least 3 feet of vertical room in flower because some of my sativa strains triple and sometimes even quadruple their size once they flower. Using this setup you could run your light fans in one run and run them isolated as to keep temps in check. Good Luck and happy growing, I am sure you will get plenty more advice here.

If your already up and running please post some pics if you can because I would love to see your setup. Your question about ducting is simple I would run it like this: fresh air inlet->into the fan -> into your top hood -> down through your bottom hood -> and out of the room the tent is in.

This way the ambient air in the tent is not going to be heated as much by the light and the air that is coming out of this vent need not be scrubbed if your connections are good. You will also need to run another fan with a carbon scrubber but this air be can be recirculated in the room if you have a way to cool the air. On the flip side if you run your tent the way I suggest you can run the lights the same with the exception of having them stacked.
