Anyone use inda-gro light fixtures?

Ok, so I'm going to answer my own question. As for lumen's per watt these lamps are not much better than t-8's. A new t5 bulb puts out 100 lumen's per watt. Where these induction lamps have the edge over fluorescents is the deprecation in light output induction lamp life hours 100,000 and 5% decrease after 2,000 hours. T5's life hours 8,000 - 20,000 and a 25% lumen decrease after 2,000 hours. So if your looking for a low maintenance fluorescent inductions have the edge. I don't know what kind of light penetration these lamps get. Pro's of induction lights great life expectancy & decreased lumen loss, low heat, energy saving. Cons of induction lighting initial cost, uncertain about light penetration?, seems untested in grow ops. I don't think they will hold up in a flowering room. But it seems to me that there measuring the light output in different way to make the light seem better than it actually is. At $450.00 for a 100 watt fixture putting out 8,000 lumen's there not a deal at all. So it seems as if where going to have to deal with the heat issues from HID's for a little longer.

I've been using Inda-Gro lights for a few years. Best thing I've ever done after going through all the others. Sure hps is great if you can afford the power and heat source and replacing bulbs. I use the Pro 420 PAR. I personally think lumens are an insignificant measure of lights intensity and spectrum for growing. I don't pay any attention to lumens. The Inda-Gro does phenomenal for me from veg thru flower compared to the pain in the ass of all the other systems with MUCH better results. The Penetration is roughly 34 inches. In veg you can leave the light 3 ft above and 1 ft for flower. I also have an M-land induction light. Doesn't even compare to Inda-Gro but an ok light. Save the money up and give the Pro 420 Inda-Gro a shot (depending on your available grow space) You won't be disappointed. I recouped the cost easily in one grow. Smaller spaces such as 12ft² is ok to use their 200 watt light. Good luck

i been thinking of the par 420 but when I went top the web site I saw they have another light that clips on the side of the par 420 do you need that light for the flowering of my plants. really need help on this before I shell out the cash for the fixture. some people say they do it without it but this is new dose it work or is it another thing to buy that i don't need
