Anyone use solar root stimulators?

I am reading a book by Ed Rosenthal right now and he is talking about these devices called a solar cell that are scientifically proven (supposedly) to increase root growth by electronically stimulating the plants roots. Start a journal!!! Try it, but yup I'd have to see it to believe it. Pretty cheap experiment though, then you could add music to the fold as well . If I attach that to my ball sack while lying in the sun....hmmmm.... I wonder .

There might be something to that, at least when it comes to seed germination.
