Has anyone used the xtreme LED 130w Grow light by CAP? I cant seem to find any proof, post, or grow journal that it works as the advertisements say about it.

I just sold one. They look a LOT smaller then they do in the magazine in real life. Its only 9"x9"x4". But holy crap are they bright. They dont have a lot of area coverage but looking towards the leds instantly urned my vision to hazy blobs. I was shocked at how bright they were. Ive seen the 90w ufo's and they dont come anywhere close to the output of the xtreme. It does piss me off though, in the magazine it claims to have 5w leds when their only 3 watts. turns out they corrected it online but it still says 5w in the mag

They claim 5 watt leds but hoagtech is right they are only 3 watt leds. I have a quad spectrum 90 watt ufo with 1 watt leds and this CAP Xtreme LED Blows it away! The benifit of leds is that you can keep it closer to the plants for more intensity. I have seen youtube videos where people have leds several feet away from the plants? this is why they complain that leds are not good for growing, remeber HID=Heat that is why those lights are kept far away with cooling systems. Keep your leds no further than 1 foot from your plants and you will be AMAZED!

I'm using it right now and for veg growth it works great, some of the tightest plants I've grown and significantly more bud sights.( haven't flowered with it yet.) it is quality gear, well put together, great heat sink. I got it for $319.00 from sun flower supplies out of new york, They shipped it that day. and it arrived promptly. They raised the price to $345.00 but it is still lower than anywhere else. Anyways the coverage is more like a solid 2x2 and the best growth occurs at 1 foot above plants. This light was designed and made in cali(thats what I liked best, most of the other leds are made in china.) I think its a mix of 5watt and 3watt leds its either that or just 3watt. Good product for the price

Hey LifeCopy. It's been over half a year. Any updates on your feelings about the CAP XtremeLED Grow Light? I'm considering investing in LED but don't want to get something that's already behind the times as I understand LEDs have come a long way.

sup every body im new to this site but ben growin out n cali for a long time. I have 6 (purple x trainwreck) 4 foot plants under 2 cap Xtreme 130 around a foot in a half apart from each other just started flower 3 day ago thies light are realy bright but definitely can't get by with just those I have around 15 3watt led red/ blue spec spotlights around my canopy and running through the middle. i get around a Qp per plant (but of course thats with co2, right nutes, and excessive topping). I got mine off craigslist 2 for 180$ but if i had to pay full price it wouldn't have been worth it
