Anyone wana take the 'Evian Challange' with me?

I challange growers to take the Evian Challange with me by ditching their old water and using Evian mineral water instead. Any cal/mag problems should definatly dissapear as per the lable below. I see the dose for calcium and magnesium to be quite healthy for a deficiency cure and everyday growing.

Ph needs adjusting down to 6.8 but other than that i see it as perfect. If some growers wana dilute it by a quarter or a third with reverse osmosis water to give a final 200ppm as evian states 309ppm then i think this would be even better.

So any takers for the Evian challenge that think they might have cal/mag problems? Peace

No need for cal/mag supplements then Mook? Well i'm with you on the Evian, like its meant for growing weed!lol! Evian rocks for cal/mag and weed.

Any other takers or intrested cal/mag suspected sufferers? As me and the Mook point out it can't be harmfull to plants in anyway except needing some slight pH adjustment?????

i never had to use supplements with it.never had to to adjust the ph level either,im growing in MG and using MG nutes and my plants grow fine and smoke great =)

or they are growing one or two plants.
a perpetual grow of 8 plants every 3 months with evian would be expensive.
Yo guys you got it all wrong, just try it on one plant for few weeks and see if it makes a difference, if it dose i would almost say you were having cal/mag problems but this is why i urge you to take the challange and try it, i have and it worked amazingly.

To those who can't buy it or afford it it is certainly cheaper than shelling out the money for a bottle of cal/mag without even knowing if you have it! I am mainly aiming at those who want to deal with cal/mag and can get a few bottles of Evian.

This is a cal/mag challenge and evian seems perfect water for plants, find out wether your water is at fault or not. Only for soil growers please. Peace

Come on guys, anyone wana help rule out cal/mag or even think this is a good idea just read ther thread, subscribe, buy some evian and post results in a week or so.

This is a cheap quick fix for cal/mag def for anybody and future growers, you ask if you have cal/mag! you wana know more about what it looks like! Every few threads you see cal/mag so lets nail it down with some standardised testing of Evian which we all know we can get worldwide.

Evian is liquid cal/mag basically!

Please anybody wana contribute good or bad or even ask questions? Peace:blsmoke:

No dude i just checked a lot of mineral waters for a good weed one, evian was the best branded and best in my supermarket, just thought we can all get it so easy to try on one plant and see if it makes a difference over exsisting tap water etc etc.

Take a look at first post for mineral content, like 80ppm cal and 26mag. Just above is a wicked cal/mag deficiency chart that is spot on to me and of real leaves not pics.

Give me some feed back on what you think on the water and chart if you like dude. Peace

This should be an indicator of the level of seriousness at which this grower subsides. MG so, I will assume bagseed. Assuming bagseed, its important to know bagseed is generally very hardy and should not be used to generalize what works with proper cannabis grows.

I want to start by saying "Evian water may not hurt..." and then talk about potential benefits of this pretty silly idea. But I cant do that, because factually, there is stuff in that water your plant at the very LEAST doesnt need and at the absolute worst, does not want. Notably, salts. Lots of it.

Lets pretend its not bad for your plants - as realistically its likely not the worst thing for your plants. But talking about it like it could serve as a sufficient cal/mag supplement? Im sorry, but if you are using Evian and not having cal/mag problems - I would be willing to bet you wouldnt have cal/mag problems with normal water. The dillution of that stuff is rather severe, and makes it seem extremely unlikely to me that it will have any positive effects.

Lastly and possibly most importantly is the actual chemical composition of the calcium and magnesium (and everything else in the bottle). Its important to know humans and plants take in nutrients in very different ways, and nutrients that can be absorbed by one are not neccesarily going to be absorbed by the other. For this reason, we arent dilluting our plant nutrients and feeding them to sick people. Likewise, feeding a plant "human food" is very likely to not do anything beneficial.

So in summary, the non-cal/mag components are potentially dangerous for your plants, the cal/mag doses are insignificant to your plant, and the cal/mag composition is completely irrelevant to your plant.
So no, I will keep feeding with real water.

Um tap water has very similar constituents to Evian water as a fact, Evian comes out a lot better in tests over some chemicals in tap water.

Many growers use mineral water to no harm and there is very little non salt calcium and magnesium available to plants, try find soluable organic calcium without it being in salt form, pretty hard.

This is just for growers who question there water and its cal/mag proportions.

I would need proof that what is in Evian actually hurts plants, seems a bit overstated here and it has a better chemical composition for cal/mag than any soft water from a tap so any growers in soft water areas would actually benifit from this change.

Hence the thread and as i understand 80ppm calcium and 26ppm magnesium per litre is quite a generous helping of calcium and magnesium for most plants so would need you to explain how this dissolved available calcium and magnesium would not be at a more than adequate level for all plant growth, if anything i would say that the levels in Evian are quite rich.

Anyway this is a situation in which maybe you could try a few bottles on one plant, post results here and we'll talk futher about it, i am happy to hear any negative points you have as i have only found positive things about Evian and did my homework first before posting this thread as well as used it myself for 14 plants at a cost of 9litres a week for two weeks now and shows no negative effects, in fact growth has doubled with it, i am living in a soft water area hence my tap water is below 50ppm, even below 40ppm.

Live in a country with some of the best tap and mineral water in the world, we dont need RO machines here neither get nasty chemicals in the water, why would i use Evian instead of my pristine tap water??? Because is has so little calcium and magnesium and am always deficient as well as finding it hard to identify a cal/mag deficiency in the first place without thinking up ferts or somthing that wont solve it.

Check the chart and grab some Evian, this thread is to answer a question not recomend growers only use Evian, its cal/mag orientated so help a dude out please. Peace

Thats because that is it's most natural form.

Well in my inferior country, we buy cal/mag supplements when we need calcium or magnesium, we dont buy expensive bottled water and hope for the best.

I would like to see pictures of your Evian-powered plants being double the normal water-fed plants. For some reason, I doubt it.

I mean no ill feelings here, though you need to understand my low post count does not imply a lack of experience.

Ever notice that Evian is actually Naive backwards? It is tapwater, in a bottle. Except its hard water (all the bicarbonates), so expect a shitload of buildup.

Anyways, Iv noticed 5 plants under a 600w HPS use probably 5L of water every day or two days max (and Im in a cool climate)...would you really spend money on 20L of Evian minimum per week for your plants when tapwater in most places is actually better for them?

Um duh, my tap water is too soft, i have yet to get cal/mag and have enough money to afford mineral water, sorry a few bottles of water is beyond your reach!

Now apparently Evian causes salt buildups as well, i've heard some sh!t now! Seems like we need this thread just to seperate you lot from the truth!!!!! Very dissapointed at you. Peace

And your nutrients dont contain micros no? Evian is bottled tap water, you need to just get a complete fertiliser and use tap water instead of blowing like €20 a week on water!

This we both agree on, Evian is bottled tap water and presicely my point!

So only recently did i discover some nutrient companies seem to add enough calcium and magnesium for my soft water area and some just seem to leave it out, had i used iconics and not my current brand Biobizz for my soil grow fertilizers i doubt my plants would exhibit cal/mag deficiencies to some extent.

Evian provides the cal/mag my water and biobizz dont and seems to be enough for any plant to grow happily with, if a grower thinks he cant solve a problem with ferts, watering, temps etc etc and suspects cal/mag but hasn't got access nor wants to buy a seperate pricey cal/mag supplement or change ferts to a more cal/mag heavy brand then i'm sure shelling out less than a gram of skunk on some good tap water or Evian would be a small price to pay.

And yes my nutes contain micros, i use bio grow and bloom with maxicrop seaweed in perlite and vermiculite and canna terra plus soil so i have more than enough micros and ferts for any plant, even lime in the soil but still if my water and ferts are deficient in cal and mag i'm left scratching my head like a lot of others hence the quick cheap evian cure and some gained knowledge over what exactly is a good tap water for weed plants in terms of calcium and magnesium.

Thanks bro.
