I forgot the one guys name, but what an awesome fucking grow for three people. The Prince of Pot said it was the most impressive set up he had seen.

I also found one segment where I have to agree with law enforcement. What's going in the National Forest is a crying shame. Mexican Mafia comes in, destroys the local environment, threatens or shoots hikers that stumble by, and then funnel the money back into some serious head chopping bullshit back at home. I am probably being a bit of a hypocrite because I have probably bought some of that, but if they would just legalize and regulate it already the black market would disappear. I can't wait to harvest and have a crop cycle and get out of that world all together.

do you think Lisa Ling was getting stoned off camera?

there is No mexican mafia or dead hikers. it's propaganda. unless you call jose' that was hanging out in home depot parking lot the "mafia". it's called cheap labor. and the only dead person was the grower the DEA shot.

they find a plot, two mexicans that have been hired to watch it run away. the dudes have a handgun for rattlesnakes or what-not. OH NO, it's the Mafia, run.:roll:

i met lisa the day they filmed at Oaksterdam, and NO she wasn't blazing.

Damn...

I missed it, but I see it's gonna be on again Saturday at 7PM and next Tuesday at 6PM.

I watched that clip. If I wasn't so rooted here I'd move to Vancover!

I'm sure the government tries to "paint a picture", but I didn't think the piece was propaganda in general.

I have read first hand accounts of hikers and fisherman being accosted by armed guards, although, no one was shot in these stories. I would find it impossible to believe that organized crime isn't very intertwined in the black market in California.

The only way to end it is to legalize and regulate weed - but I am preaching to the choir

i wasn't trying to imply the program as being propaganda, just the whole
"mexican drug cartel". i've been hearing it for years on the news but have yet to see it.

as far as hikers, most people are well aware of what's going on in northern cali. pot farmers don't plant on the beaten path. if you go wandering into the deep woods you should worry about a lot more than pot farmers. there are bears and snakes out there. :-|

One FS fellow (who was wearing a vest that said "Police") said there were FIVE deaths last year due to these illegal plots. He then went on to say that it's an (paraphrasing here) 'extreme health and safety issue to citizens'. Not to minimize the deaths of these people of course, but, in the grand(er) scheme of things..?

i loved the guy from the national forest police who says "this isn't about the drugs to us its about the damage done to the enviornment"...then they follow that up with "law enforcement says most of the sites they find go unrepaired because they just don't have the time or the resources to fix it" - if its about the enviornment i think they could come up with the "time and resources"

boy scouts...thats terrific. yet their constant complaint over decriminalizing pot is the impression it'll leave with the kids. Way to expose them to it way earlier than i ever would! tell me cleaning that up doesn't get the curiosity going. they spend billions to find and kill the crop and the only resources they can "afford" to help the enviornment recover after they come in is the boy scouts !?!?! they never cease to amaze me.
