Are you guys crazy? As if you wouldn't change the locks when you move in! Whats the worst that could happen? Legally they have to give you notice to an inspection, by which time you need to move everything for the inspection. But so what? IF that happens, which we are talking worst case scenario here. It beats having some bitch landlord walk in and call the cops on you.

If you change the locks, the rental company cant complain because how the fuck would they know? By them admitting it they're saying they illegally tried to enter your house without permission. They wouldn't say anything. Changing a door lock is super easy these days. Just change it back before they get there. Can be done in 5 minutes.

Don't be a fucking moron, change the locks, JUST IN CASE.

Worst case scenario they get angry because you didn't ask permission, they wouldn't even evict you. But the reality is they never check. You pay rent on time and tell them how well you are doing at your white collar job and they wont come.

And if they complain about you changing the battery, just be away for when they want to do it. Or not available. Not hard. Or even just move shit out of site and let them in.

I've waiting on clones, 2 x 1000 w. Going with soil as I dont want to risk a leak in my apartment. I dont have sprinklers, just the smoke detectors.

the apartment will stink. alot.

i would suggest having no more than 2 or 3 plants, in a small grow box/tent. i live in an apartment, and it's tricky. the smell is always there. you can try a carbon filter, it helps, but a big one needs a big fan, and big fans are loud, and apartments are small..... ozium works, but that shit will eat your brain if you spray it more than once a week. there's also the sprinkler people popping in about every 6 months. when living in a rented apartment police don't need a warrant to come in either, the landlord has the key.....

either way .. unless the police have a warrent.. you still must be givin 24 hours notice before anyone enters your suite ..... weather it is police, landlords, plumbers (unless it is a emergency and there is a flood somewhere in your place)

but on another note... i think its risky business making a whole room into a grow room in an apartment...... how about when the fire cheif comes into each apartment every month or 2 to check if your batteries are working in your smoke detectors (a law in canada here) and you have 24 hours to clear out your grow room somehow before anyone comes in...

ya that sucks for canadians.

we just get free batteries every six months or upon request from the landlords.
