aquaponic/bubbleponic begginer needs help

First let me say PorterRockwell is a troll that posts random ass pictures to anything he think is a stupid question. You're gonna see a lot more of him.
But everyone starts somewhere.

I would say dont do it, you're going to run into a lot more problems.

For aquaponics you need a biofilter to break nitrites > nitrates for plants to use. You cant just jdump dirty fish water into a res like you would if you were growing in an organic soil. Even if you had it set up cannabis needs alot of P & K in flowering which is not produced by fish waste
the only thing that worrys me about it is the color of the root sticking up, its all brown, but its just bag seed, oh well if it dies lol but i appreciate that, i didnt know i needed a biofilter

I won't say that it can't work, its just that it be really hard and less than stellar results.

Nutrients are cheap. Don't buy into the hype that you need all these additives or any at all. If you choose Lucas formula, 2 bottles of of general hydro are cheap and go a long ways.

If you really want to be cheap you could mix your own or buy dry salts that are mixed. But for something so small it'd be a waste of time.

I really wanted to try the salts method... but the amount of calculation involved makes the head spin, and by the time you get the addatives, (this acid, that dust, etc) I feel the GH is cheaper... One small bottle one big bottle, and ur good to go!

just throwin my 2 coppers in...

Apologies I do not mean to "Hijack" this thread haha, however, how deep should I place my rockwhool in my netpot? I am using 5gal standalone dwc's, using lava rocks from my last hydro grow in which I did not need to use rockwhool as I used clones. Any and all information about growing seedlings in rockwhool is appreciated....thank you all and happy growing! :)
