Aquarium rocks

has anyone ever used these ? i cant get clay pellets yet so i use this to make due anyone ever heard of using these or have used these?

Yes, it will work. The problem is that those rocks don't have a porous surface area to retain water. So your watering cycles will be less forgiving. But it can work.

how "good" does the rocks work ?

well its been 2 says all looking good

o i also boiled them at start to get good and clean make sure to stir so color doesnt come off if u got colored ones

Sure, they will work. My first hydro grow op I just went to the rock yard and got buckets of pea gravel. Poured that into wooden troughs I made. Grew 2 crops with that.

That was in '78.


I'd say if you can't get growrocks, then lava rock would work best, and it's sold everywhere.
