Are automatic timer grow rooms dangerous?

So I have my grow room set up all on digital automatic timers. I was wondering how dangerous/liability/security it is to leave your grow room alone for a day or two or three?

Only one trusted friend knows about this grow and is helping. I have a daytime job so I can't be with my grow at all times... and I don't want to look secretive to my gf or friends by going off into the night everynight or day to go check on my grow for 12 hours or less.

Does anybody have any experience with this? Or anyone just leave their indoor grow room unattended for periods at a time? Thanks.

I never touch my timer. I set it, and leave it. It controls my lights 100%. As long as my plants are watered, they pretty much grow themselves. I can leave for several days if I need to, but if I'm gone any more than 36 hours, I have my room mate water them.

my grow is fully auto. i come home 1 time a month and there good.

Are you serious? One time a month? Don't you get paranoid that someone is snooping around your house or maybe one of your timers didn't work on accident?

will i have been running the same cheap walmart $3.00 timers now for two years with no problems. i have even left for 9 days and the only dam problem i had when i returned was BUGS. lights were still up and running. i run 1000wtt hps and 400mh two separate timers. hell they don't even get hot.

yep MAJOR infestation

Well that makes me feel better then about leaving my grow be at peace. I always thought being there with the plants would be safer just to make sure that nothing happened to them or the place where they are. But I think realistically they will be fine if I let them be for a day or two.

yeah just think, all you do when you check them is just that, poke your head in and check, personally i like to leave them for a day or 2 or 3, they look so much bigger when i come back

I have a lock on the door of my room, and nobody else but me knows the combo to get in. I just set the timer and leave it I just go down to check on it from time to time to make sure everything is ok, was havin a prob with the breaker triping when I first set it up so it makes me nervous.
