Are my marijuana plants hermaphrodites?

I have 36 plants total and i am on week 5 day 1 of flower. i just flowered my plants today and saw something that looks like a ball sack underneath the buds. i checked all of them and it looks like they all have it. its weird because they all have the pistils indicating that they are (or were) female. Im not sure what to do! i posted a few pics for you guys to get a better idea of what im talking about. also as you can see, the balls look like they have the pistils coming out of it. not sure what that means. Do i have to throw my whole crop out?

Everything looks normal to me & 100% healthy. The "pod" that you opened up is called the calyx and is a female trait. On every calyx there are usually two pistil "hairs" that protrude from a green, seed like, ovary in the center of the calyx. The purpose of these two hairs is to grab pollen so the embryo can form a seed. Before the embryo is pollinated, it looks like what you posted (a squishy, green, fluid filled, "seed") but you'll find that no seeds ever actually form. Some strains have very pronounced and large embryo's which can be alarming to people and easily mistaken as immature, pollinated, seeds but I don't think that's what you have. I can see that most of the pistils are still white which usually indicate a sensimilla crop so far.

ya dude, its just the start of a new bud site, which starts with the construction of the seed calyx, even if the plant is sens.

i just wanted to say thnak you for that amazing response to my issue. i was 90% sure that my ladies were not hermies but being that it is my first official grow i just needed to make sure. but now i not only know i have nothing to worry about but also have a detailed explanation of what i was looking at in the picture. hopefully with time one day i can save someon some serious stressing with helpful information like you did in my case. I also had a few questions about lollipopping and deleafing in late flower and seeing as to how informative you are i was hoping you could enlighten me. if you get some time please shoot me your email, mine is [email protected]. if not thanks anyway for the help

After years of growing I have seen just one true hermie in the many hundreds of plants I have grown, re-grown or cloned. Hermie spottings are like Bigfoot sightings. Everyone knows someone else who has seen one....... BigSteve.
