are my plants dying (with pics)

hi ive got 2 cheese clones ive had them in x2 flo gro 500 for 1 week and they look like there dying not sure what i should do, ive got them in a 1.2 tent with a 600 watt light, the e.c is 1.1-1.2 and ph a steady 5.9 just wanna kno if they have gone past the point of saving? i did have algae on the top of the rock-wool as i didn't cover it, ive now cover and removed the algae not sure if that is the cause, i will change the reservoir later should i use plain ph adjusted water or put little nutes in, im newbie to the world of hydro

ec 1.2 of what substance?
what is the distance your lights are away from the plants( max it out, and then gradually lower it to your desired height)?

i keep my hydro ph at 5.7 I also add the nutes slowly, gradually building them up to the desired amount.


if these were just transfered into your garden as clones, they may need time to adjust to all of the changes in their enviornment.

e.c is 1.2 i used around 20 litres of water with 20 ml of a and b of nutes so alot lower than what the bottle says the height from top of the plant is 1 and half foot and they have only been in my hands for a week maybe less. i will try lowering the e.c to around 1.0

I use the ppm scale but I think I see nute burn also and possible ph problem,what are you useing to test your ph,your meter may need to be calibrated,Im not familiar with the flo grow 500 either but if its a type of dwc you may need more air to the roots

The problem is that you have been lazy and have not been cleaning your Hydroton. See all the white stuff on it? That's nutrient buildup. Despite what your reservoirs ph/ppm is, it's very much so different where the roots are. Flush the rocks out with fresh water, refill the reservoir and balance the PPM and you'll be back on track. What are the temps? Drop the ppm ,you got nute burn.
