Are there certain strains that will grow better under CFLs?

I was just wondering, are there certain strains that will grow better under a CFL set up or do all have an equal chance?

I can't give you a definitive answer. But I suspect the answer is yes, certain strains probably do better under cfl's.

Here is my 1 example of a strain that did very well under cfl's. This a nl#5 that was grown under 78w(3 26w) of cfl's.

I doubt there is any reason for one strain to do any better than another.

cfl's do have a spectrum that is different from other sources, such as hps
then again, cfl spectrum differ from manufacturer to manufacturer, so this is a fuzzy situation
so, could different strains have different responses to a given spectrum?
simple answer is the photosynthetic mechanism is identical from strain to strain, so strain doesn't matter
i suspect there may be some strain variation for spectral response, though i have no proof, just a guess
