Are these ants harmful or helpful?

In the last week or so I've noticed little black ants making what seems to be a mud nest on some of the branches of my plants. Are they helping or hurting the plant?

Dam dude is that the stock of your plant?? I would get rid of them, I think some ants like to munch on leaves

I would get rid of them too. Might get in the buds - wouldn't want to smoke them.

I was told to spray them off the plant and get something called "Tanglefoot". Tanglefoot is applied to the stem for a few inches to keep crawly bugs off. So, I'm going to look into that and see how it goes. Let me know if you guys think of other things I should try.

they are not good for the plant at all you will have a whole bunch of dead ants in your bud and the ant larve feed on the moisture of the plant which will kill it eventually do something FAST

Last time I measured it, it was about 5 feet across and about 4 feet tall.

make some tobacco juice and add some extra neem oil. you dont want those little bastards. kill them
