I have two plants beginning Week 7 Flowering and on one plant I noticed these pods, two side-by-side with hairs coming out of them at the nodes.

Are these seeds?

If so, is it uncommon for seeds to develop at the nodes this late into flowering?

The buds are fine, no pods or balls.

Ya, I read that. I guess I should of worded my question differently. What is the purpose of them?
i'm not a scientist, i have no idea what purpose they serve!? i think when a female gets pollinated it would have a seed coming from it and when a plant shows it sex, if it's a female there will be white hairs coming from the calyaxes.

lol the white hairs collect the male pollen and then the pollen is uses to make seeds in the calyaxes (pollen= sperm , pistil = pollen dumpster , calyaxes = womb) there is some anatomy for you holmes
