How was the out come on this grow, looking to start with this. Its advertised short sativa and produces well, so it would be ideal for me and my setup can anyone give more insight into this please Arjan's Haze #3

Hi,

I've grown Arjan's Haze #3 four times now from both seed & clone & had great luck with it. Truly, it really doesn't smell strong all through veg & flowering ... great for an indoor stealth grow. The high is really top notch ... Very trippy sativa-like head high with a perfectly balanced & mild body high. Flavor is rather bland but that's not why I smoke this stuff.

These plants love hydro but will do fine in soil too. They don't like their nutes being too strong so go easy there & watch for signs of leaf-tip burning. One bothersome thing here is that these plants really start yellowing & dropping the fan leaves from about mid-flowering to the end of the 11th or 12th week for harvesting. You can try additional nitrogen at that point but it never had much effect in my experience with these plants. Even having dropped most fan leaves, the ripe buds are tight & heavy if you have enough light on them.

Bushy & rather short for a sativa, this plant also responds well to supercropping & bending ... making it great for indoor grow spaces. In 4 gallon hempy buckets, using Lucas formula nutes, & 200 actual watts of compact flourescents per plant (I'm using seven 30-watt CFLs up close per plant), I've consistently gotten a dry harvest of 3 oz. or slightly more per plant.

Get a good PH meter & EC meter as these plants can be a little picky about nute levels & PH especially. All in all these are almost perfect indoor stealth grow plants. I've also grown Chocolope, SAGE, White Widow, Gigabud, & Master Kush with this same setup. I love the SAGE & Chocolope, but the Haze #3 is really my favorite. My wife refuses to smoke anything else. Believe me, that's "high" praise. I hope that info. helps ... as no pix available.

NOTE: in reviewing this post I realized the question was for Arjan's Ultra Haze #3 ... and not the regular Arjan's Haze #3 which is what I was reporting on. I have not grown the Greenhouse "Arjan's Ultra Haze #3". Sorry for the confusion but maybe this info. could be helpful to youz guys just the same.

Hi,

how high did it grow Jumbo?
Not much taller than most indicas (that's pretty good for a sativa). I had multiple grows of this strain & supercropped, & trained & bent stems each time so I didn't actually put a tape measure on them. On average though, after 6 weeks of both seedling growth & actual vegging @ 18hrs. per day, I had a fairly flat topped, wide & bushy canopy made up of a coupla plants at around 20" height from perlite to the topmost budtip (not including container height).

You got pics?
My avatar pic (Einstein head with jars & bowl) includes some of the Haze #3 buds. All of the buds in the bowl in front of Albert E. come from my second grow of Haze #3. As I use multiple CFLs up close around & above each plant, I really can't get any decent in situ pics that don't have very ugly flare & glare. So sorry, I never kept any of those crappy-looking "growing" pics.

One thing I could add is that this strain seems to have a very high ceiling - or possibly no ceiling. The more you smoke the more fun & euphoric the ride is without easily maxing out the high.

that is beautiful bud!!!, how many plants produced that in ur avatar?
Those buds in the bowl were from three Arjan's Haze #3 four-gallon hempy pots with one plant per pot. The total Haze crop of buds for those three plants was 6.3 oz. dry. That was over a year ago & since gaining more experience & dialing in the supercropping, bending, nutes, etc ... I'm now getting an easy 3 oz. per plant of this strain. Please note that I'm using 7 or 8 30-watt CFLs per PLANT at varying heights & positions. So, when I add a third hempy bucket, I also add 7 or 8 more CFL's to cover it. That's about all the space I have available in my coat closet grow space. More plants require more CFL light, thus generating more heat to exhaust into the attic. More than 22 30-watt CFLs in that space tends to overload my exhaust capabilities. About 6 oz. a grow is enough for my meager needs.

The buds in the two jars were Seedsman White Widow (sativa phenotype) grown outdoors in partial sun / partial shade. Great smoke but crappy fluffy buds due to poor sunlight. I'm not proud of that particular crop but hey, we're all learning as we go along, eh?
