I have one. I am growing 1 nice little plant in my closet. It started outside, then was dug up gently and put in a pot. There it sat in a window (witch does get a nice amout of sunlight) at my friends house until now. I just transplanted her into a bigger pot and she is now in my closet. I have a fluorescent bulb abover her now on 12/12. She is about 4-6 weeks old. I can already tell its a female and she looks pretty healthy. I want to go to Home Depot tomorrow and pick up some cfls. My question is can you tell me what to pick up? As far as wattage, and does it matter if it the "swirled" looking bulb or the "spot light" looking one? And I have heard a little about having to use diffrent spectrum lights during veg and flowring. What is the story behind that? Thank you for any help. I will try to post pics soon.

Alrighty, you want to get the swirly CFL's, the highest watt possible offered where you are. Make sure to look at actual watts, not the equivalent to normal bulbs. I use 64 watters, but the 32 watt ones(equivalent to 150 watts incandescent) Off the top of my head i cant remember which spectrum is for veg and flower, but its the kelvin rating, post in cfl grows and someone will tell ya. you will need a thermometer and some fans for ventilation. Just dont use anything made by miracle grow, bad idea. order nutes from online if you have to or just go natural. any other ?'s just ask away

since the lights at Lowes dont often seem to have the Kelvin rating on them, i always remember: "warm white" CFL's for flowing, "cool white" for vegging. as always, the more wattage the better.

Can you suggest a strain? First grow, going hydro perhaps bubbler/DWC, and im not an idiot. Indoors stealth, prefer indica. Just going to do one plant the first time so big yield would be cool.

I got a question...I started to grow acouple days ago. Their about 6 days old (from when the seeds cracked) and now their about 2-3 inches tall, when should I start to use nutes or growing chemicals...? How long should I wait...? Yes this is my first grow...

A seed contains enough 'energy' to grow happily for at least 10-14 days therafter a weak 400ppm solution should be suffice for the next few weeks. At week 4 I usually step up the nutes to 800ppm. Once in flower I up again to 1200ppm then 1500ppm with a pk supplement also.

What is fimming? What is foliage feeding?

OK, first I'll start with FIMing, this was a technique discovered by a grower on accident, he went to top a plant, which is removing the entire growth tip at the newest node and letting 2 shoots come up where that 1 was. FIM stands for Fuck I Missed, a grower only clipped about 3/4 of the growth tip instead of the whole things and this resulted in 3 or more shoots coming out where the FIM was done.

Foliage or foliar feeding is mixing up a usually more dilute liquid fertilizer and spraying the leaves when the lights go out, this way it absorbs nutes right into the leaves, I personally am not a big fan of foliar feeding, but some people love it.

HMMM, I would say a nice Indica as well, something like Big bang, or Power plant, awesome yield. Personally I would go for a white rhino, great white shark or trainwreck, I prefer potency, and these will still yield alot.

Nutes really aren't needed till week 2 at the earliest, and then use 1/2 strength to build them up. What kind of setup are you runnin?

I posted a question about an odd little plant. I'd appreciate it if you'd check it out for me and let me know what you think.

Thanks!
