attempt number 2

So sense my first grow failed due to me having to move and I now have a perm. Residence I want to try again. Once again I am going to invest very little money into this grow.

Basic setup.
3 12 inch fluro lights.3700k
Bag seed
Thinking a closet grow or in the door in my entertainment center (2.5 ft tall 1.5 w, 1.5 deep)
CPU fan, for airflow.
Probably do lst to control height.

As for the growing medium I'm thinking sand but not sure. Would like input and tips for growing in sand. Sense I live in sunny Florida the temp in the house stays around 72-78 and sand is plentiful.

It will be a week or so before I start and I will start a grow thread.

i have limited space as well, will check this to see how it works out for you.

If you have limited space look into scrog or lst. Both are amazing

LOL to late man already waiting on my LSD stran to get in. I have a closet that is about 6 foot high and 2 1/2 deep.

^Basically, you'd be growing hydro, so look into some journals of people growing with coco, or in hempy buckets(perlite). Then, you'll want to mimic their feeding routines, etc....tweaking, according to how your plants are reacting. Idk if the sand will suffocate them, or not, seems like drainage will be excellent, but ya never know til ya try. I haven't come across anybody growing in sand before, not straight sand.

Well then I guess my next grow journal needs to be extremely detailed. Lol. I know it will work. my buddy down here is growing under black light said this is how he has done it for years so ill also be looking into that. he used soil and 9 black light fluro and he grown good shit.

I started a thread about Black Light Growing, and was told that black light can't grow because of they lack the correct light growing rays or something like that.

Most blacklights are uv and uv kills. I'm not sure of his whole setup but I know he uses blacklights ill try to get more info.

Ok so in the end (several months of buying supplies) my setup is going to run 700+$.

Basic layout
400w hps
Hps fully adjustable ballast (built-in dimmer, digital setting from 150w-440w)
False room closet grow room.6ftx3ftx3ft insulated mylar walls, built in 4 inch carbon filter/exhaust fan.
Fox farms light warrior/ocean forest (mixed 50/50)
Fox farms 3 pack nutes
3 gal life pots
Light timer
Starter cubes w/ dome
Ph test kit
Sump pump (for after flush)
6 4ft fluro lights for filler
Secondary carbon filter 6in fit over 4in
2 interior fans low speed. One at top corner one at bottom.

Any tips are welcome.

I will still be attempting to grow in plain sand and will keep detailed once i start.

I never heard of growing in just "sand", so I'll be tagging along to see what I can learn about it. I add sand to my soil mixture, but never thought about growing in just sand. Good luck, I'll be checking it out

That's why I'm doing it lol. No one can give me info on it so ill conduct a few experiments lol.
