i would put some tape around those cups. i was using the same kind that are see through, and i was told that any light getting to the roots is bad. also, i just transplanted mine today, and they had a pretty good rootball at just under two weeks. hope that helps.

Juat a few suggestions, Your mylar should be nice and flat, or eventuely your going to get hot spots and burn your plants. If you can't get all those wrinckles out of it, just use flat white paint.
Lower your light down as close as you can without burning the leafs, otherwise you'll probably start getting some pretty bad streach.
Transplant the sprouts in to regular black pots. Like sombody allready mentioned, the roots don't like light.

Get some better ventelation in the grow space. Your temps are abit high. You should keep them at 70f to 80f. Figure when you get into spring and summer your really gona have problems.

definitely lower the light a bit (not to much though as new plants are easily burned) and temps seem good but not amazing, i think you could get away with not adding any more ventilation.

yea as far as the ventilation goes i added another fans and temps are at about 81 82 now so is that good? the idea behind the clear cups was to see the roots but i guess thats bad ill just put some tape around the sides and see the roots through the bottom. i was thinking about lowering the lights to will that raise temps a lot tho?

alright its been about 10 days and i just transplanted them into 6 three gallon pots. I know they won't start smelling for another few weeks but does anyone have any ideas on odor control? also im moving in about 2 and half months so i was wondering if i could get them done by then? i was thinking 4 weeks vegging and 8 weeks flowering. i know every strain is different but is there any kind of average on how long it takes to flower, 8 weeks enough? thanks for the help guys

Can't help with the odor control since I just vent out the roof.
It sounds like you would be cutting it pretty close on your harvest. I would shorten the veg by a week. since 8 weeks is really no more than an estimate. Could go 9 , 10 or ?

dam this is what i was afraid of is there a limit on how small the plant can be to flower, i know it needs to be strong enough to flower and hold the buds and all that

At 3 weeks they should be pretty much established. Once you stick them into flower they will continue to veg for a good week or so before they start to flower. then they will continue to grow for a good four weeks before they put all that energy into flowering.

alright im at 20 days right now and all my plants are around 4 inches. they are look pretty good with a few small exceptions. in the second picture hopefully you can see the small spots on the leaf. now its only on one leaf so any ideas on what the problem is and what i can do to fix it? in the third picture a few leaves are wilting but not most of them on the plant. im just assuming over water or to many nutrients? as far as the odor control ive decided to go with the carbon filter. thanks for any responses or suggestions.

The spots could be caused by several things. Possibly a little hot with the nutes, or your ph could have been out of range.
I wouldnt worry about it to much since the plants are looking real healthy.
Keep an eye on the ph. I think with soil your looking for 6.5-6.8 not real sure since I grow hydro. But very important since you will lock out certain nutes when your ph is out of range.

just concentrate on the new growth the leaves wont repair but they look good for 3 weeks stay 1/4 strength with the nutes for a couple of waterings good luck
