Everyones experience is unique.I hopes yours didn't get taken but I wouldn't be concerned until its been there 4-5 days. I also read somewhere online ( I can try to find the link again) that on weekends customs officers at ISC work on a 4 on 4 off schedule.

Herbies sent me an e-mail saying they're having troubles with Chicago, and wish they could request their packages go through New York. People in the customs dept at Chicago are rude and childish. They've also stepped up their game somehow. My package said Processed through sort facility since the 27th of last month, finally yesterday I shot Herbies an e-mail and they got back to me the next morning their time(really fast). They said they could refund my cash or resend my order. Not sure what i want to do yet, but I would hate to get my order to get confiscated again. I didn't have to buy a guarantee or any of that crap, and they're being great about the mis-hap. They also said since it was never up-dated since Chicago they think it was lost or stolen, who knows. All I do know is Chicago has a ton of beans to grow. Peace out.

It is every seedbank now. I think it is very impressive for Herbies to come forward with the honest info on that too. It seems like things are getting worse and worse. First it was the attitude and now you hear it from every bank. Someone said on RIU very recently that it is a bad time to be a seed breeder.

I think it's very impressive for Herbies to pass on the info. I also think it's a sad day for breeders and growers. What a load of B.S. seeds are not gonna be responsible for the down fall of humanity, being incompassionate towards others needs will. Peace out.

Not sure if this is true at all but what I have heard is that customs confiscations have increased ever since the 2013 sequestration. Customs took a bite in funding for manpower. Therefore rather than keep for instance 5 employees replace them with more sensitive x ray equipment. Equipment you just have to worry about maintenance and parts. Employees you have health insurance, worker's compensation, paid time off, retirement, wages, and some other expenses from a employer's point of view to consider. Another rumor I heard is that at the ISC points there is a system of reward if your an employee and have documented seizures. Its almost synonymous to law enforcement in some states having quotas for tickets.
