Gotta love having a dog. Let's you know when a cub scout to a detective is within 50 feet lol.

"A" Marijuana Plant LOL wtf.

The huge changes in the last 5 years alone, within another 5 we all will be able to have a plant, until then, keep your eyes peeled. Big brother is out there like someone said before...watching you through your built in camera in your laptop and your facetime cam as you type.

I don't see how using a fake name really helps you out...

An order of seeds sent to your address can be explained away (prank?) just as plausibly as an order under a fake name. That "evidence" will not be part of anything to convict you.

If they want to start looking at an address... they look at the address. Then they find out who lives there anyway most likely.

Now, not sending the seeds to your grow house is certainly advisable.
Depends on what state you live in for damn sure. In my state you get a DUI just by having your car keys in your pocket while standing within 20 feet of your car even if you have no intention of ever driving. The judge is the real here say in this, each one is different. I had to take a wreckless driving charge due to a car accident when my brakes when out on my daily driver, i was sent to the hospital for 3 days and even with all the evidence from my car crash ie the fact that there was no tire marks on the road like someone wasnt paying attention then suddenly to stop and ran into the back of a car, and teh fact i shattered my heel from slamming on the brakes that had no pressure then running into the back of another car and tons of hospital paper work, i was told by the judge that unless i was able to get the car out of impound and have it towed to a mechanic and have them send a paper into the court explaining the brakes failed i would have to plee guilty and mind you i was somehow suppose to do all this while in the hospital when i didnt even remember my own phone number. So with that said there would be no way in hell someone would be able to explain there way out of having illegal weed seeds sent to there house by mistake, at least not were i live.

how did they know you were growing a plant if they took your seeds to grow with?

-- Yeah, like I said... in non-med states... you just KNOW local law enforcement will have hard-ons for weed busts. Even one plant potentially growing is excitable for them...

"would be no way in hell someone would be able to explain there way out of having illegal weed seeds sent to there house by mistake"

-- The burden of proof is on the accuser. You would be innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent.

That being said, the logical fact of the matter is that unless they locate transaction IDs tied to these purchases, or email records, simply having seeds sent to your name/address and confiscated isn't proof of anything.

the cops came to visit a buddy of mine and said they had received a tip that he had a grow-op...buddy said, yup, sure do, come see for yourselves.

the cops were rather surprized when his grow op was herbs and vegetables, but no pot.

Buddy figured, why not let them see it during the short period he did not have pot growing....they never came back

So, if I had pot growing I would have not allowed them in without a warrant, but if I had no pot growing, I would let them in to see I had nothing

I don't know why some people have a problem believing this. Cops will go out of their way on just a tip from a junkie C.I. Even in legal states. I'm in Cali and last year my nieghbor had 1 plant, one of his nieghbors called the police and they showed up. They asked about the plant, I guess they saw it from the "narcs" backyard, and asked if he he was legal to grow. He showed them his Dr. reccomendation and card and they just said OK and left. Believe me cops are not too busy to check up on tips or any other types of leads. Stay safe and be smart about things. You can not be too careful, you must always be thinking several steps ahead. Sooner or later the laws must be sorted out- its a big mess right now, granted its better than it was but growers in legal states are still vunerable.

It seems that only seeds coming through Chicago are being pinched. Anyone losing theirs going through New York?
LA has been snagging lately too. I just had mine come with green tape and a letter. I was going to try to get them back as I'm legal (ha-ha) but it said they were destroyed so why bother. They can send cops to my door if they want, I'll show em my card and my grow, give them them a cup of coffee, and they can be on their way. Our states MMJ program is in our Constitution and I don't think they'd bother screwing with us/me. We'll see, it's been about 10 days since mine were snagged (first time btw).

I might be inclined to believe this if I saw a pic of the package to verify it......but if it's true, it would be the first time EVER I heard of the cops coming to a house for a few seeds.......call me whatever you'd like, but it smells awful fishy.

Mark Emery got busted for selling seeds to Americans, but funny thing is it's not illegal in Canada
Emory was busted and placed in American custody because he was donating large amounts of money towards legalization, along side of running for public office. Authorities got worried, and decided to make him an example. Of course it's more complicated than that, but that's the meat of it.

I think the selling of seeds was secondary, I guess is my point.

I had an order from attitude arrive at LA customs sept. 11th, and finally on the 28th the mail man came to my door with the package I could see the green tape on it and he had a slip requiring me to sign to recieve it. I got my shirt but everything else was removed. The re-order was shown to hit customs yesterday so hopefully they'll make it through.

Is this normal has anyone else had to sign for a package after customs opened it?
