Im envious of all you ground growers:( i wish i had a good area to do a ground grow :(
This is my first year growing in the ground. I use to grow in pots...NEVER again will I do that! I LOVE the results I see from transplanting out of the 5 gallon buckets into the ground. I never had plants sooo big! I have a 6- 6/12 foot NL plant! And the rest are 5 - 5 1/2 feet tall White Rhino plants.

My soil around my area is wetland. You dig 2 feet down you hit a lot of water

I am really surprised at what mine have done. I didn't prep my area at all and with some of the soil recipes that are floating around on here I can see next season being VERY fruitful with less plants. :) Can't wait!!!!!! :D

This is what i've got.. 2 critical mass strains both showing to be female. They're both around 5 1/4 ft at the minute. Will they get much taller? I don't have much room!

To be honest I'm not too sure. you know the largest paint buckets you can get? well them!. I need to transplant into bigger pots soon but i'm working on a new greenhouse before that happens because every time I transplant they almost double in size within 2 weeks!. Or should I keep them in these buckets? do roots develop much during flowering??

SmithSkunk, in those buckets im guessing either 3.5 gallon or 5 gallon they probably will not get much bigger than they are but they would love to be put into a bigger pot or even straight into the earth

You do, potentially that is. You say wet lands, that's what Walt disney started out with(okay he was cheap and trying to keep things secret). 1st thing I'd do build a raised bed. It doesn't have to sleep Andre the Giant. Why you could just create a series of grow boxes. When I say box though you're going to want to get a bit high. 1st problem is that drainage. You could start by working in sand or gravel to the existing soil or wetland as you say. Then you'll need to retain the soil you will add. For this I'd consider bricks or something more long term then say boards which rot(dont use pressure treated *poison*). I'd get that raised bed or box(start small more manageable)up to 4 or 5 feet tall. It's essentially a large container. . So you'll still want to embed some drainage pipes. It worked in ancient Babylon. Speaking or working work in soilless mixture, and you'll have a much more functional container where nutrients can be retrieved by plants in the latter stages.
