I have seen it before though...many years ago...was an awesome sight.

I'm pretty far north, like nearly in the Northwest Territories/Yukon. I can't see shit though with all the clouds.

But a year ago, I saw up here the coolest northern light show I have ever seen. Coming back to Fort St John area from out at a job, 7pm at night, and I saw what looked like a giant bright neon green mushroom cloud shape to the lights. It held for about 2 or 3 minutes.

It seriously had my swamper and myself going WTF!!! It looks like Martians have nuked Fort St John. Never seen anything like that before, despite seeing Northern Lights fairly regularly all my life.

I wish I had a camera.

Yea I hit 2000 this morning ROFLMAO and said something about but nobody comment so just went on LOL and this is the 48th post today....PLUS now get this I dont know why he couldnt he has over a 1000 post been on here since 09 and high rep and said he couldnt rep me cause it said I was maxed out on reps ROFLMAO.......not sure if thats good or bad or he yanking my chain or what but he sent me a PM about it LOL

Crazy. But you definitely liven up this forum. Wouldn't be the same without ya here.

@greenkrakzak....yeah it is definitely something to see. And the further North the better. If I go out of town about 40km, it completely dark, and the light shows are just intensely bright. Totally fascinating.

Shit now I gotta go outside, but it's -40 degrees Celsius right now....BRRRRRRRRRRR

yeah stonedpony is "a colorful person" lol and the youtube is hilarious, havent gotten a chance to check out all the videos

Damn. Just went outside. I can just barely see the moon thru the snow drift from the winds reflecting the city lights. Its not even actually overcast just gusting snow swirls. I could probably see them if I go out of town, but it's too cold. My nostrils kinda froze almost instantly.

Shit.

How long is this predicted to last. I might go out tomorrow night, just to see. Take a couple chongers, and sit down some oil lease road in the middle of nowhere....freaking out, looking out for Yetis....LOL

One day I will smoke some northern lights beneath the northern lights, and it will be good
