Overkill ? How big is the area ? Remember more light (up to a point) = more photothynsesis = faster growth,I know I’m over simplifying but those CFL globes are a decent clone or pre veg light but they aren’t putting out a whole lot of light.
In my limited experience indoors over the last couple yrs my veg was faster and better using my t5 compared to a mate using a cfl to veg his in the same size tent.
Prob dont mean fuck all to you luke

I thought t5 is just the fitting and that cfl and t5 bulbs are the same thing just different shape /format. I do find my t5 better for seedlings I think they have an even coverage compared to my cfl's but my cfl's are a bit more intense

T5 fluoro
Ive got this joomby
Two sets of globes one for flowering one lot for veg
They are fantastic for seedlings and id say the first 2 feet of veg after that they would be better of with another stronger light for late veg or just flowering alone

Yeah I’m with you fuck autos fucking ruderalis what a stupid fucking name
I enjoyed giving them a try during off season and I think I done damn gd to pull nearly 3 oz of 2 autos seconds soil hand watered and only 3 feeds of liquid ferts
But I wouldn' try em again unless it was automated and a nice 600wt hps maybe so I could aim for half to a lb of maybe 6 in a 1x2m tent
Anyone in this thread who pulls 3 oz per auto first try would be a legend in my eyes indoor and outdoor

But having said that while the nugs are frosty n smell ok the auto buds are in a jar for back up or to make thc hot milk drinks.. (3 grams in 300ml boiled together in a saucepan then drank while warm is a nice stone)
