you are actually better off with the 600w skiz as it will be cheaper to run and more efficient than 2 400w lights not having a dig tricka just sayin lol
i was thinking bout getting another 400w but after researching if i upgrade my lighting i will get a 600w rather than running 2 400w lights

Yeah 600's are the sweet spot, most efficent and not too hot, unlike 1000's

Yer i heard the 600w was the best lumen per watt light.

id love to set up some 1.6Kw solar panels and run a few kw grow setup :) .....mmmmmm 3 x 1kw lights and not even dent the power bill.....o the dream haha

im still tryin to sort it out its an ex demo so i got it cheap but it has no instructions lol and ive never used one but they said it was easy to fly a good starter chopper
they did give me new batteries for remote and chopper as well
its spose to go up down foward reverse left right but all it seems to want to do is spin so im guessing i got to adjust sumtin lol maybe we should catch up and you can teach me how the fuck to fly it rotfl
yea you would need to adjust it if it just keeps on spinning and doesn't hover, yours is a co-axial heli so they are pretty easy to fly, just got to mess with it i guess or look up some instructions on the net

i dont use EC. i fill my brain every 2-3 days. its a blue 44 gal plastic drum one. i run my timers every 3 hrs for 30 seconds.
id also recommend using CANNA products.
if your green to growing indoors id try sussing out your local hydro shops and talk with them. but dont mention pot etc.....
and ask them questions : how long have you been into hydro etc, indirect questions.
dont go in there yeah im trying to grow some fat killer buds can you help me lol
youd be suprised how many people do.
the shop i go too the guys that work there have atleast 20yrs growing experience each.
was slwo going at first but there is an etiquette to talking to the people in there. id steer clear of the ones that talk pot with you straight out.
when you find a good that that offers great advice, discount ( cos you buy most all your stuff from them) they will chill out and be even more helpful then you could have ever thought.
we were all newbies once, its all about learning.

have you frown before?
indoors w perlite?
outdoors ?
Hey Jas, thanks for the reply.

Nah, I haven't grown pot indoors or outside before, so it's all super new to me. That said, I'm an ag science grad, so I'm hoping I can pick it up quick. :-)

My main concern at the moment is the size of pots I plant my girls into. I have 3x 15L buckets that I was thinking of using as growpots. I was going to drill a hole in the bottom of each and drain from there with polypipe. I'm thinking to wet all the coco in that size of bucket I'd need to have the pump on a bit longer than 30secs each time. I'm using a med-strength water-feature pump from Bunnings ($69). I was gonna have a ring of 4mm flexi-pipe with 4x 4L/hour drippers per bucket and run it for 15 minutes a couple of times a day. Just concerned about the spread of water throughout the medium. I don't want there to be dry patches, 'cause that would reduce root penetration throughout the whole medium.

I'm thinking of experimenting with watering times/lengths before I put the seedlings in the dirty big buckets. So many variables to keep track of, lol

coco is pretty thirsty. i get excellent soakage with only running 30secs/3hrs, the guys at my local said even 1 min every 12 hours. jsut need to flush the old nutes out the way for new ones. for the 30 secs that my pumps run each pot gets around 8-10 litres flowing through it which is pretty good. i use 95L pots in my setups, pot in pot style. just cut 4 2in holes in the bottoms of the inners and use a pot sock in the inside one and about an inch or so of clay balls or similar to aid draining. and drill a 19mm hole for the drain pipe and grommet to fit in the outter one. i put my pots up on milk crates as i run too waste so no need to keep it above the brain height.

does it have callibration dials on it ?
i had one of those a while ago and apparently you get it up in the air about a metre and callibrate your controls. i believe one adjusted horizontal movement (spinning) and the other was for lift adjustment

well it has 3 sliders one is for up n down one is for forward revers and other left and right from what i can tell but i just cant seem to get it right lol but i will sort it out cant try it today to windy :(

do they all return to centre or stay where you leave them ?if they stay where you leave them try playing around with the turning one ie. try leaving in differnt positions one way then try the other. having it in the central position might be causing it to go out of balance

yeah they stay where i put them but it appears everytime i turn the remote off i have to reset em well at least the lift one ill get there if not ill go harass mh lol
