If you use hygrozyme you dont have to worry about root rot. I think it is $45.00 a liter but it is well worth the peace of mind. If you research hygrozyme you will hear nothing but good things!
Thats what i use now. I still like to mix it up a little just to help make the zyme last alittle longer.

What brand you using? I have nf balls and they wash quick as but I only use small amounts compared to what you guys are using.
Sorry mate i missed ya question......I use the brand Hydraton, from my local...i guess all the agitating was the problem, Its the drying off and wetting again and agitaing that was causing it, but now i know that its 98% all gone i should be sweet, yeah i use 40L of the stuff in my E+F bed not a couple of handfuls lol

The oxy plus is the shit i use. WTF did you get that 35% bag? Looks like alot there?
Food grade is alot cleaner, Med grade even better than that....as there is a couple different ways to produce H202. but anyways this just shows how much of a stoner i AM....i had been down to my local hydro store like 3 days in a row (not real good spending that much time in such a short period) and i didnt want to sound like a complete newbie fucktard cos i already asked the 3 stores if they sell Hydrogen Peroxide, they all said no, so like ONE day before Odlaw told me that oxyplus was H202 i bought that 35% from online..... so on the 5th day i went down and got some oxy plus....as that foodgrade stuff was still in transit....

can someone tell me if Zyme or hygrozyme gather around the root mass and looks like a brown slime, cos thats why i dont use the hygrozyme anymore....even with running near death levels of H202, there is a slight browning on my roots, and this is out of my bubble cloner....im thinking its the Bennies, and now im killing them with the H202???? fucking hydro newb's hahaha

heres the process Skizz---- you know a bit of chemistry dont ya?....this is a C+P but i cleaned it up for others to understand easier,

Formerly, hydrogen peroxide was prepared by the electrolysis of an aqueous solution of sulfuric acid or acidic ammonium bisulfate (NH4HSO4), followed by hydrolysis of the peroxodisulfate ((SO4)2)2− that is formed. Today, hydrogen peroxide is manufactured almost exclusively by the autoxidation of a 2-alkyl anthrahydroquinone (or 2-alkyl-9,10-dihydroxyanthracene) to the corresponding 2-alkyl anthraquinone in the so called anthraquinone process. Major producers commonly use either the 2-ethyl or the 2-amyl derivative. The cyclic reaction depicted below shows the 2-ethyl derivative, where 2-ethyl-9,10-dihydroxyanthracene (C16H14O2) is oxidized to the corresponding 2-ethylanthraquinone (C16H12O2) and hydrogen peroxide. Most commercial processes achieve this by bubbling compressed air through a solution of the anthracene, whereby the oxygen present in the air reacts with the labile hydrogen atoms (of the hydroxy group), giving hydrogen peroxide and regenerating the anthraquinone. Hydrogen peroxide is then extracted and the anthraquinone derivative is reduced back to the dihydroxy (anthracene) compound using hydrogen gas in the presence of a metal catalyst. The cycle then repeats itself

H2 + O2 → H2O2

Thats the old process, In 2008 a new process was created......

Hydrogen peroxide is most commonly available as a solution in water. For consumers, it is usually available from pharmacies at 3 and 6 wt% concentrations. The concentrations are sometimes described in terms of the volume of oxygen gas generated, one milliliter of a 20-volume solution generates twenty milliliters of oxygen gas when completely decomposed. For laboratory use, 30 wt% solutions are most common. Commercial grades from 70% to 98% are also available, but due to the potential of solutions of >68% hydrogen peroxide to be converted entirely to steam and oxygen (with the temperature of the steam increasing as the concentration increases above 68%) these grades are potentially far more hazardous, and require special care in dedicated storage areas. Buyers must typically submit to inspection by the small number of commercial manufacturers.

I have no idea, but it must be a huge plant to get 3lb, are you growing outdoors .

Here is my new lot round#2....5 x Skunk#1 and a sugar shack and White Widow clone.....:eyesmoke:

The beans were germed on Anzac day 25th of April,
The beans popped up on the 29th April,
The beans are all 14 days old....
The two clones were cut from the plants on the 1st of May...

PPM is now at 400 (starting water was 50, so ~350 worth of nutes--running an extra shot of B1)

(note that is a breather coming out of the res)

Yo tricka! Good to see you getting another grow on. I'm glad to see my skunk has a similar coloration. I'm really surprised by the sativa-ness of this varietal.

Just got Seedsman to resend my white widow femmed seeds too, so you know what? I might have a west coast version of your grow going on soon...;-)

Good times!

Peace, love and all that shit your way, man.

SDC11286.jpgSDC11285.jpgSDC11288.jpgHey guys, im having some leaf issues, can someone please help me.

I have just started week 6 of flower, and now all these leaves are turning yellow, and then brown and crispy on the outside, before finally dying. It is mainly in the bottom of the plant in older leaves, however there is one or two slightly higher up.

I have been reading, and it looks like I think P OR K deficiency, but then something else said root aphids do this same damage, so im confused now:-(

hmm bummer ozgirl maybe flush her really well with ph water then start over with ya soup
if ya growing in coco get some dr repair and add that or some cal/mag coco is a bitch with cal/mag def
also if ya in coco are you using coco specific nutes ir just norm hydro nutes?
norm hydro nutes not best for coco as they have to much salts in em i think it is and coco naturally allready has enough of these

Thanks odlaw, now of all things I have discovered a few male balls WTF is going on. I was thinking a flush aswell odlaw, im soil though, not coco, Im even now thinking a flush followed by H2O2 treatmnt, as im now thinking there must be some root rot, or toxic spot in the soil, symtons fit, and im thinking the balls must have appeared just after the first leaves started turning bad, so I think the hermie thing is telling me something is really wrong. GRRRR, everything was going so dam well, and I only have a few weeks to go.
:(

Attention Peeps......

I would like to take this time to write this post to let you all know that it is in my best interests to not be on RIU anymore,

No i am not going to jail, nor am i leaving the country for a holiday.... this has nothing to do with me and paranoia about pic's as you all know i probally post the most. This is a personal matter that must be addressed ASAP. I am disapointed this has to be the way as i believe i have made some good friends whether i have met you or not.

I was going to delete myself but i havnt as yet, i will keep my profile open for a little while then we will see...
If there is anybody wanting to know why, or would like to still stay in contact then just shoot me a PM and we will exchange emails.

I dont know what else to say but happy growing and take care please.

Tricka.
