my little DC9 girl is very vigorous. cant wait to see her in full bloom. its weird after growing so many strains where you can just go look up a description or google some photos to see what you might be in for but i am literally the first person ever to grow this cross. its blowing my mind. i love it so much

as for the heat i have never had it impede growth or anything but i have had buds that foxtail like crazy and look shit, resin production seems to drop off a bit. but mostly it just makes my buds look ugly.

that sux i guess im lucky i have a large house with a large cool underhouse area with good ventilation. its always pretty reasonable down in there. if i were to bring my garden upstairs it would be a different story our house becomes an oven in summer

What are the chances of Customs seizing lights in the mail.

Nil... why would they sieze stuff thats perfectly legal to own?
I'm getting a little suspect that they have been siezed :( I ordered lights from Europe .....Amsterdam , pretty sure from there it went to the UK for sorting and it was at that time that I got a few missed calls from a UK number. I never answered it. Now my order status has changed to basically no information about whats going on. Be pretty pissed if it's been siezed... atleast I payed on paypal bt I doubt they would give a crap about siezed goods.

i doubt it was siezed. more likely there was some kind of mix up in the UK. they tried to contact you and you didnt answer. hopefully you can get in touch with someone and find out what is up?

if it was customs you would have recieved a note saying that your order was siezed by customs and stating why it was siezed. i have had fertiliser and stuff siezed and thats what they do. also it would have been siezed by customs here not the UK

Back on the temp issues, I run my lights which is something some of you might want to consider. Dont know exactly if it helps at all but power is also cheaper at night too.

Summer cant end soon enough for my grow room...How everyone else's grow room temps? Even with running lights at light and off time during hottest part of the day, EP coolray shade with 150mm centrigugal pan blastng air in and out of it, two very good inlet/outlet fans and an oscilating fan my temp is still up about 30 degrees. Just wish the heat would fuck off and i can be left stress free lol

i set my thermo at 27 instead of 24/5 deg c for my ac to come on power n shit is costing, the plants dont mind as long as i keep a fan going.

ps.. yeah i went back to lights at night, as well

Gday laceygirl... You should chip the mods for.calling you mr ganja! Haha

With regard to.lights at.night.,
This is what I'm forced to do.

Gday lads

Just wondering if someone could give me some advice on how risky/awful the fines/punishment could be if caught growing in oz? Also in terms of stealth is there anything special I may need? A lot of the info is for US/Euro.

I have been thinking about giving it a shot for some time now, fed up with getting crap and always being cut short + the joy of knowing what I am actually going to be putting into my system would be a great one.

If you keep it small - up to 3 plants, you should be fine. The laws efforts are focused on cash croppers, keeping in mind the coppers have to justify their employment & erradication programmes. Government is a business and expects Return on Investments...

Not sure which state you're in as the laws vary slightly from state to state...

sweet, I think 3 plants would be more then enough. yeah its all about money sadly. I am down in Vic but I can already guess we most likely have the harshest laws?

If you listen to 'Hack' on triple j they had a story like these a few weeks ago. I think it's like 5 in some places but say 20 in Tasmania , no consistancy.

'You've got a couple of plants out the back. You tend to them for your own supply, the secret stash you use to get high. So when are you crossing the legal line from personal use to supplier? Hack looks at new research provided exclusively to the program which interviewed over 450 cannabis growers in Australia. They found that almost half were growing enough plants to be considered suppliers but two thirds of them maintained it was just for personal use. Hard to believe? Should the laws change?

Thanks for that! So what would be the ideal space required? I guess that would vary but is there a rough size I should be aiming for?

Here's some info state by state on the laws;

A Guide to Cannabis Law in Australia

Decriminalised: Australian Capital Territory, Northern Territory and South Australia. Make no mistake, cannabis possession is still illegal in these three states and territories – like it is in the rest of the country – yet adults caught with a ‘small amount’ of pot will have the option to pay a fine or attend a drug assessment program rather than receiving a criminal conviction.

Criminalised: Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and Western Australia. Cannabis possession in these five states will attract a criminal offence if found guilty. For first-time offenders holding a ‘small amount’ – there’s that phrase again – conviction is unlikely, due to the states’ fondness for education- and treatment-focused ‘diversion programs’, which aim to keep non-violent drug offenders out of prison. (Worth noting: this is the exact opposite of what’s been dubbed the United States’ ‘prison industrial complex’, which was largely born out of Nixon’s ‘war on drugs’.)

3.jpg

The following table will show when possession becomes trafficing

4.jpg
Trafficable quantities of cannabis vary state-by-state, too. Northern Territory has the lowest threshold for cannabis leaf, at 50 grams; in SA and WA, its 100 grams; 250g in Victoria; 300g in ACT and NSW; 500g in Queensland, and a whopping 1000g (1kg) in Tasmania.
The number of plants required to constitute a potential trafficking offence range from five (in NSW and NT) to 20 in Tasmania; the remaining states require ten plants, though in Queensland its measured in terms of aggregate weight up to 500 grams; theoretically, this could include a hundred cannabis plants weighing five grams each. Oil and resin quantities vary; see the below table, taken from a 2010 report compiled by the Drug Policy Modelling Program at UNSW.

there is also a table for number of plants you can grow. i cant find it now though. but its basically 3 or less is a slap on the wrist and wont get you in much trouble at all.
4 - 50 is an indictable offense so you can get into a fair amount of trouble for this and anything over 50 commercial and is deep deep shit.

3 plants can bag you a shit load of weed if doen properly though. more than you could ever smoke
