Aussie Outdoor - Flowering Journal - Guess Strain?

Hi All,

I have a plant growing in the Australian sun.
Got the seed from some bud a while back.
Excited that it's a girl!

It has just started to show some pistils...
I plan to use this thread to document the flowering process. Any advice from all you experienced growers would be fantastic.

Oh, I also have a newly sprouted super silver haze plant next to it...I'll keep that updated also.

I've posted some shitty pics (sorry about the quality) and have saved the images after rotating them, but for some reason they are staying sideways on the forum. Sorry:roll:

I'm using biojuice nutrients (organic) for flowering. I topped the plant a few times earlier on in the piece, it's been transplanted a few times but it has survived!

Any ideas on the whole indica/sativa thing?

cheers

Ok,

Some more shitty pics...
Plant is starting to take on more height.
You can see the dart board at standard head height...plant is reaching that...

Pistils starting to shoot out everywhere from all the stems...

There are five main stems/branches/colas/whatever:eyesmoke:.....
At this height, how much do you think I would be looking to yield if everything is done correctly?

Nutes - N - 2.9%
Phosphor - 5.8%
Potassium - 5.9%

What do you reckon?
I've been wondering too, about the indica/sativa percentages..I'm not 100% sure on how to tell from the leave length and thickness.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
cheers

Hi there,

Taken a few pics.

Plant is getting very tall...almost my height...
I'm going to take a punt on yield now on 4-5 ounces...what do you guys reckon? winner gets some bud.lol.

I've noticed that some of the stems to the fan leaves are turning a reddish colour...I've tried to photograph this...is this normal?

Also included is a pic of a baby super silver haze plant (feminised) that's in there. Bought the seeds from cannabisseeds.com

thanks for any comments/advice, it is always welcome and appreciated.

the redness in your leaves might be a characteristic of the strain or it could be a side effect of the weather. perhaps you just had a cold front? but as for the fertilizers i suggest an organic fert to keep your plants healthy and produce a larger yeild. i suggest using tiger bloom, a product from fox farms or their other flowering fert i think its called megabloom or something close to that. if you cant really afford fox farms because theyre quite pricey i know, than you can use alaskan fish ferts which have been rumored to work very well. i will be using both types this season on a side by side trial to see which one works better. im excited for this season!

Hey dudes, long time no post.
nice plants man, they look very healthy.
i was thinking of starting a plant now (aus) just for a small harvest, i'd be happy with 1/2 an ounce.
when do you usually start to see flowers? coz i figure if i start one now it will go into flower within a month and i'll get about a 2.5 ft plant with about 1/2-3/4 oz on it. sound about right?

Hey there,

Thanks for the advice on fertilisers man!
I'll definitely be checking into them all.
The plant is almost getting a bit too tall, I already have quite a few of the branches tied down and they've also all been super cropped twice...hmmm....

As for the reddish stems...there was about a week of rain here...maybe that could have done it?? coldish front...more of a wet front maybe...hmmm
I'll look into strain stuff, maybe it does have something to do with the strain, that would be cool!

yeah the basil is off the hook:-P so much pesto...

As for starting a plant this time of year in oz, I think it could work. I reckon if you could veg it indoors for a few weeks on 24hours florescent (or MH if you got em!) and then put them outside it would be swell..that's if that's at all possible.

Thanks everyone for the advice,

will update soon

OK.

Well the plant is going great, I just bought some fish emulsion and some molasses and have fed the plant with them...

It's growing quite tall, still doing lots of tying down...

On one stem I found a few balls....HERMIE!
but only on one node of one stem...seems only pistils everywhere else...is this normal for a hermie?

I'm hoping it will start to thicken up a bit soon. I've posted some more camera phone photos...sorry about the quality...but you do get an idea of how they are coming along...

I'm thinking i have about a month and a bit left???

Please help if you can.
Thanks
blab

P.S (what is the best way to dilute molasses?

Ok another update,

The plant is over head height when not tied down.. Today I decided to tie it down quite drastically so it doesn't get too tall and noticeable...

Have I tied it down too much?
I've never tied down like this before, the plant does seem pretty resilient...

As you can see, there are lots of stems coming from the base of the plant and the buds are slowly but surely starting to form...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How long would you say I have left?

Also, if anyone here has been busted for having a plant growing in oz, what happened?
haha i'm starting to get a lil paranoid.

Man i wish they'd just let us be.
We cause nowhere near the harm that binge drinking does (a proud part of Australian culture) every weekend...Let plants grow!

cheers

damn.
yeah man i'll get on that.....
plant's pretty big so 'im not really sure what i could cover it with....
maybe i'll go get a big cardboard box made...could you recommend anything?
as it is already flowering does this light problem mean it will slow down the process?...don't know if you can really see all the pistils from the pics...
if the problem is fixed, between now and june how much bigger would you reckon the plant will get?
