I started these girls on June 10, 2013 and the pictures were taken on Aug 12, 2013 (71 days after germ).

I ended up seeing a few orange Trichomes when i was looking down a 16X scope (about 15% orange, 80% milky and 5% clear) on the plant on the right approx 2 days later. The other seemed to be delayed in all aspects from the start, and during the first week of flower had some deficiency issues.

Here is a picture.

Here is a pick of the stronger plants buds:

A look at another bud on the same girl:

I ended up harvesting the stronger plant (one on the right) on Aug 13, 2013 (72 days after germ). Here are some pics:

The stronger plants harvest weighed:
wet, with stems: 256g
dried for 4days, and curred for 3 with most stems removed: 51.6g

Ill post an update once I take the smaller one down. and I'm currently at 78 days on that one. It has about 2% orange Trichomes.

you should let the other run a bit longer
i usually let them run a month over breeders times
but to each their own :)
beautiful plants by the way bud

I've been going by the trichomes color.. This one has very little amber still.. So still wiring.. It's got some nice blue tinges now and the runt smells more spunky.. Other was just a faint marijuana smell.

I would let those go for sure. If you are already flushing just let it go until the fan leaves are all used up and start to yellow and die off.

i agree those could go longer.. when you scope it are you getting into the bud or are you scoping the sugar leaf??? you'll see a difference.. but those will get fatter and frostier if you let them go longer.. but they look nice.. i have one of those beans on deck i was gunna grow it over the winter when i have cooler temps.. it's nice to see that it will be a decent plant.. looks like you got some nice nuggz of the other plant so if your not in a hurry to cut it i'm sure you will be happy with the extra results of growing it out. the time the breeder gives you.. ya you can harvest in that time and get some good bud that gets you stoned but it is far from the optimal mark the plant can achieve

I wait for most hairs to turn orange meaning bud growth is done.
I don't care what color the trichomes are, if the calyx's aren't done swelling up I'm not chopping shit.
I go generally for yield though.
To each their own.

ya by the time that plant is really finishing up the leaves around the bud sites will have grown out and away from the plant
kinda ease the bud apart about half way down the main cola and check it
youll find that part of the plant will finish way before the rest sometimes alot of times ill harvest the tops and let the rest finish up for couple weeks but i dont use any sidelights you figure outside surronded by light it might finish up fairly even
honestly would hate to see you not get potential from such a pretty plant
you could be cutting yourself short alot more than youd think

ya for sure.. i don't want to say anything negative cuz you did such a nice job on them.. but they don't even have any orange hairs.. i'm on a berry ryder right now that i have harvested tops off of three times already. i need the extra bud to get me to my next harvest but also it is helping me push the plant to see what it can do.. even when my hairs are at 60-70% orange i wait a day and they are back down to 30-40% from all the new flower growth.. yesterday was 11wks and i think i'm gunna give it another week harvest tops one more time give it two more weeks then chop it down.. the buds just keep getting fatter and frostier.. i could be off tekdc911 could be more accurate but the extra month or so i'd say has about doubled my yield and increased THC levels (by what IDK)

@ boston
yes you can easily double yield with just a month over breeder times
if you want a fun experiment take a 70-80 day strain and let it go for 4 month's
unless it's the rare one's that actually finish under lower wattage setups then it will just keep swelling
eventually youll start to see a pattern and its right before the point that the trich production stops
if you look at the lower buds you have finishing on you berry plant the little pop corns will lollipop and then stretch and those fat seed pod/ preflowers will be like 1/2" apart just one lil pod then another this is the transition to the hemp like growth that ive mentioned to you before
it's like the ruderalis takes over if you let it go to long maybe this is the prequel to the male flower rodelization window i dont know never let them go any longer than 16-17 weeks

I decided to do a little more training on this plant, that way the little popcorn buds will get much bigger.

Heres a picture:

On this one you can see why they add blue to the name:

They say the colors come out when the nights are colder. Boy are they right. Its early morning and it sitting at a cool 14*c (33f), and just look at the beautiful colors.

Going to be harvesting in 1 day. This is due to a motorcycle trip i have planned. Otherwise ill be gone for 2 weeks and likely ill be past prime. Here are some pics from this morning.

The Males:

The plan is now if it is even possible, to pollinate the auto with the 3 males, that way i have some seeds, should i ever need them.

looks great Doc, i am interested in how the seeding works out. Hopefully the female can survive a couple more weeks.

Well I took the second one down a while back figured I should update. The cure process took a while, and in the end it was running too slow, so I over dried. I dont remember the wet weight, but dried I got about 38g.

Over all I am very impressed. The smoke is on par, and the stone is pretty wicked. Definitely a mind high. Not the smelliest stench, but its got some to it. If it helps the gf wasn't impressed when I was curing it, very time I opened the lid she said it smelled gross. To me it smelled heavenly.

i definitely would grow this again, especially outside. You could start it early and it would easily be finished before fall. I'd say the time frame on the harvest was pretty early as suggested by the manufacturer. I'd say total could be 3.5-4months total.
perhaps next year would be worth a gorilla grow.

Oh as for seeds, I decided to just save the pollin, I actually dried it out and vacuum sealed it for down the road. I did get like 8 seeds from the time that the males were next to the last pyramid. Probably 4 are viable for use. I actually planted one of them in my indoor grow.

Thanks for the update tomb! So you got a little over 3 oz for the 2 plants. That seems pretty good. So were they grown outside or with the light setup you mentioned in the first post?

It was started under a 600w. Under 20/4.. But about a month in... I wanted to start a hydro.. Considering the autoflower didn't care about light cycle I moved them outside. So 2/3 outside.
