How do auto flowering strains (like lowryder 2) turn out outdoors? Is the yield about the same as indoors or more/less? thanks :blsmoke:

in addition to this question. how does auto flowering strains work?

what if you gave an auto flower strain a 12/12 cycle from the beginning, would it flower early. or would it veg until its ready to "auto flower"

i have no idea how it would do outdoors. i'd like to know too. but lowrider doesn't need 12/12 at all, it can flower on 27/7. so outdoors, it gets real sunlight and more air, but has night time, indoors longer light. i really don't know, i would think it would do better outdoors other than the fact that since it is so low the bottom will mold easily in high humidity

turbo- i don't think its possible for lowrider to flower any earlier, the plant has to have atleast a few nodes to flower, and as soon as it has them lowrider kicks off with flowering

hope that helped

I was really thinking about this. In the middle of the summer, herb here goes up a bit in price, because nobody can flower outdoors, it would be nice to have some good bud half way through the year :D

it says that they do not ship to the U.S. what a tease. I'd love some of those seeds but the price is NUTS!!!

instead of paying that amount for 1 seed that apparently ' colonizes ' , you could pay the SAME ammount for a little grow up , including nutes lights seeds water and all that , then clone, harvest , clone , harvest

whats up fellas.. so for the autoflowering strain... you can grow it in any light environment and it will flower naturally because the strain is not dependent on light to flower. Unlike other strains which go from veg to flower based on the amount of sunlight that they receive(24/0 or 18/6 in veg and 12/12 in flowering), the autoflowering strains switch automatically, regardless of how much light they recieve, from veg to flowering because they have a hormone that automatically induces flowering, usually 2-3 weeks after planted. But the less light it recieves during the day = less yield in the end. So if you run an autoflowering strain on 18/6 vs. 12/12 youll just recieve more bud and the plant will grow larger, but the growth pattern will be the same. Hope this helps.

some people say that you should give your plants some rest so the debate between whether 24/0 or 18/6 is the way to go is up to you. I guess this is supposed to be outdoor but for indoor i prefer 18/6, saves on the electric bill and lets your lights/ballast rest.

This will be my second grow I grew in a Custom hydro! outdoors!

i found that Auto flowering seeds are like all seeds no matter what they will enter the veg state witch means its going to grow to about a half foot to a foot befor they start producing Flowers or what i like to call Nuggys! but if you Grow a mother i also found out once you Top and clone then the Plant instantly starts to flower if you put it outside were life is 12 light 12 dark.
if not put them under lights and you got another Mother Clone!!! life is perfect!!! once that happens
