auto flowering time

Hi all. I have two freebie autos in my tent, a la diva and a flash babylon. They are listed as 45 days and 65 days respectively but I assume that to be marketing bullcrap. They are about a month old and started to show flowers today.

Have you guys with experience of autos any idea of how long the flowering process will take to complete? Will it be something like 8 weeks like a regular strain or do autos ripen faster too?

Or is it like asking "how long is a piece of string", and the answer "just wait and see!"

run them to 10 weeks total or so possibly longer you'd have to see what happens
anything less then 10 weeks is a waste honestly
dont get me wrong at 65 days it will be covered in trich's and get you high
but it is far from the optimum harvest time from mine and many others experiences

and if your feeding them
just for a reference they show preflowers and will continue to veg after
when vertical stretch has slowed and pretty much stopped is when they need flower nutes

most autos i've grown take about 72-80 days after germination.

Hi. I have never grown those. Like a few mentioned they do not finish as fast as they say. The only way I get them to finish that fast is to use BIG light and 24 hrs on. I am talking 1000 watts for say 8-10 plants in a 5x5 tent. I have had very nice 5 plant grows with T-5 HO. 4 foot tall plants but take closer to 100 days. In the winter when it is colder I have seen some go 120. A lot of them will finish in 70-80 days. Good Luck.

Sorry folks you seem to have misunderstood my question. I want to know not how long they take from seed, but rather once the flowers have started to show, how long she might take after that.

Hehe thought that might be the answer. I know there are tons of variables, and not an easy question to answer.

The few completed grow journals I can see for one the strains I am growing suggest the 45 days is really more like 65, but I think even that is ambitious given it's a month old and only just stuck some white hairs out.

is there a thread for people poppin their cherries with autos for the first time or can I just harass you guys for some answers?

I'm new to the game but have done a lot of reading, ask away. You could also post a thread in the autoflowering section. I would suggest that as opposed to newbie central.
