"Auto-Flower's MORTAL COMBAT"

Simple Rules;

Anything goes. (Female, male, hermie - but for a reason like pollen etc. any excuse will do, indoor/outdoor, soil / hydro - Anything)
Start Saturday Jan. 1st, 2011 - New Year's Day. (break ground within +/-1 week) NO EXCEPTIONS
Must be auto flower capable of growing within time frame. Plant does NOT need to be cut / dried / cured to be considered finished.
ONE Plant only - Must be the same plant from beginning to end. NO EXCEPTIONS (Sorry, this is a honor system. If you must cheat on this simple rule then you have bigger problems in life and you'll need to live with it. Please stick with your one original plant.)
UPDATES - First must be a picture of the started seedling within the mentioned start window. Then you must show a pictured update at least once every two (2) weeks. NO EXCEPTIONS
Competition will end Saturday March 26th, 2011, 12 weeks from start date. NO EXCEPTIONS

Judging - (biggie!)

ANYONE can vote. Largest number of votes a contestant recieves wins.
Voting - Starts 3-25-2011 and ends 4-1-2011 (April Fool's Day)
Judging is simple, the judges (voter) votes for favorite plant (for any reason). Only one vote per voter / judge.

Reefer-ee - That's me! I will make the decisions on anything pertaining to this grow. Since this is pretty open, I don't expect many if any issues. You may live in a democracy,, but not here. Decisions are final.

First prize; 30 seconds or less of "attaboys"
Second place; Honorable mention for "also ran"
Third place; Well,,, you're just "shit outta luck" is all that's to it.

End of rules - That's it in a nutshell. Fold / spinle / mutilate all you want. IF something happens to start a unseen issue, decision will be made according to intent. The intent is to show artistic / creative / useful plants with a grower that's not afraid to take chances and with a hobbyist interest.

*****************************************************

AFMC's fine print;

These ARE NOT RULES, only suggestions.
All the mortals in the movie had special attributes that helped them win. You and your plant should try and display the same. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX.
Challenge the wive's tales of what does and doesn't work.
Do something different with your plant. Maybe make it grow like a Christmas tree, dog face, inside a bottle, anything different to show you're special abilities. Be inventive and get away from the plain & simple straight grow. I intended to try and self - pollinate my last AF but didn't make out. Try a combination of techniques that other's say can't be done? This is Mortal Combat, a meer mortal (straight grow) would have little chance of surviving in this Realm (but, anything is possible).

(try to)Keep it fun!

Fighting through obsticles should get you points. Don't give up. Asking for help, researching answers, posting on other threads for help are all legal and within the rules (simply because there are none against it)

Keeping tabs on other contestants and dealing with hecklers, non-contestant postings, Moderator's input, etc. are all things YOU may need to deal with in your own way to make it to the end. There are no rules against any of this other than the RIU Rules as pertaining to site usage.

You think you're good? Here's your chance to show off your stuff.

On the voting - Anyone can vote for their favorite for any reason. That pretty much levels the playing field.
Play the game. Make people want to vote for you and your plant by whatever means you can come up with.

To be "in" simply post a picture of your AF pushing ground within the time frame of the rules and with a D.O.B.

Have fun & enjoy.

My entry was born last night at approximately 8:30 pm and is ready to kick ass. Here are some picks of her from just a few minutes ago. Also in the pics you'll see the nutes I'll start using at around day 20ish. I am using a tiered pot for root depth, I am currently using this technique on a Speed Demon #2 freebie and am having great results. I plan on using this tiered system to LST, putting my coat hangers in the bottom tier. So without further ado, I present you Fiona:

Looks good there Stoner.
First out of the gate needs to set the pace you know. LOL
Lookin good.

Hitman- like your thinking.
Tiered pots have a lot of creative potential. Acually had a set of bottomless pots I made just for tiering.
Wish I had pictures of a waterfall I did that way using all naturally wild local foliage. Think it came out well.
What's with the Peroxide?;-)

Looking like another good beginning there.

Here is my Dinafem Roadrunner. She hatched the other day (26th?) and had trouble breaking out of the shell so I helped her along. She is growing great now. I am gonna do her in a small pot w Subcool's Super Soil that i had cooking since before Halloween.

Hard telling, But definately a bit over 2 oz. dry. (maybe 2 1/4? - ish)
Saved a small jar of buds for smoke. Most went into oils, tincs and hash with some other material.
Surprised at the flavor. I thought it rather nice.
While not airy, the buds were not what I'd call tight. That is perfect for me because I'm always concerned with mold around here and too tight a bud has given me issues before.

This is my first auto grow (3rd overall)and I will be doing a seed run. This plant will be either pregnant or a pollen donor. After that I intend to do a perpetual grow with the 3 reservoirs. Each is capable of holding 4 plants. One site on each will not be utilized this round because I only had 9 viable seeds.
