Auto light deprivation?

Trying to find a auto close/open thing for my outdoor plants just to steal the design lol. Anyone seen such a thing? I was thinking a trailer filled with plants and just move em into garage but that would be kind of a pain :).

How funny, I was basically coming here to ask a similar question. Mid-winter here in the northern hemisphere, and I was thinking about next summer's grow and how I have to do light dep, and I'd love to automate it.

So far I'm picturing a large folding awning, something that can "accordion" open and closed, and I was imagining rigging something like a automatic garage door opener to open and close it, somehow connecting the switch to a timer... but yeah, that's as far as I've gotten on that one. As a side note I don't mind planting late and keep the plants smaller, so I'm not seeing this scaled for 10' plants, more like 5' tall plants.

But to answer your question -- no, haven't seen anything other than very expensive greenhouses with automated shades.

Check out golden arm or grobots. Never used em but those are 2 different ones
Thanks digger, just what I needed to get the old brain kickstarted ;). The golden arm mechanism is just the thing I needed to see and something I could rig up with stuff I have lying around, thanks again! It's hopefully going legal here (somewhat) in the spring so trying to get the most out of a summer.
