Autoflower 1st Time Grow Attempt - An interactive experience w/ pics

Hey everyone, Im BD and this is my first attempt at a grow so feel free to comment, help out, make suggestions, or compare pics.

So I had not received my seeds yet so lets start with my setup. Im going for stealth but I have an alright place to start with. Just as you can see had to do a little modifications to my bedroom. I have two fans right now one for ventilation, and one for circulation. For light I have a dual sun system. It runs a 400 watt Mh/ and Hps Independently. I cant fit the hood so im going with vertical lighting.

Alright So 2 days after I finished my construction I received my delivery from attitude, as well as a very nice Shag Panther T - :D.
Alright so by now your interested in what im actually going to sprout. I ordered Some world of seed Afghani Kush Auto, and also some lowlife White Russian. These came with a Dinafem Roadrunner free. I have not actually heard about yeild or anything on these three so if youve tried it let me know.

Im going to be trying for as organic as possible So Im Starting with Fox Farms Ocean Forest Soil, and thrive alive green. Thats my plan for the first 3 weeks. Im going to water with the thrive alive every other watering. After that I picked up some Pureblend pro that was recomended to me by the very nice man at sunshine hydro. I have never heard of it so again Any info on that would be nice. I picked up some of grandmas molasses but that will come later in the grow.

For germination I used some wet paper towels and tupperware. It worked perfectly and I had 100% germ on 6 seeds in less than 30hrs without prior soaking. After that straight into the final destination of 6 inch pots, I am not going to transplant as I heard It may stunt growth and my greenthumb is black at the moment.

Tonight ill put some pics up of the plants, just as soon as I see if they sprouted.. I promise

Dude...I have read that the White Russsian has a very intense stonage. I also read that it is pretty easy to grow. The other's I have not read about...yet. Where did you get your seeds. I have been wanting to try auto-flowering, but I stuck with the tried and true feminized White Widow's from Dutch Masters. Good luck, I'll be watching your progress.

oh awesome news on the russian I have three of them in pots. I got all my seeds from attitude seeds I highly recommend them.

Sweet...my next hydro grow will be the clones I take from my White Widow mother, but White Russian and AK-47 autos are in my near future. Thanxxx

Those Afghan Kush Ryder seeds are crap btw. They don't autoflower, so you have to force them with 12/12. Don't expect them to finish alongside your other autos.
Nice to see someone grow roadrunner, I just ordered a few for myself. Good luck man

thanks, ya I have heard about the world of seeds afghan kush not autoflowering, im still going to hope they fixed that problem though but we will see

alright so im day five from germination and all the seeds have sprouted besides on of my Auto Afghans. just so you know I started with three white russian's, one roadrunner, and two afghan's all auto. Sine the afghans were probobly not going to be auto as Ive heard I just popped in the dinafem blue hash seed with no germinating or anything just to see if it will sprout. I plan on watching the other Afghan and if it doesnt auto ill just transfer that and the blue hash outdoors when there ready.

All right now that that is done and over with I though I should put up a little disclaimer. So this grow is not actually being done its just "imaginary" and if your a cop dont believe your eyes. Good now that thats over with I have to give a big shout out To GrowKindNugs, and chunkeymunkey. Both members on here and I got a whole lot of info from them guys so thank you both very much.

Yo, I had also received the free auto roadrunner but it did not survive the germination stage. It has been 13 days so I'm pretty much going to give up on it. My easy ryder auto is going fine tho. Hope that you have better luck with the runner than I did man! Good luck by the way, I'm sure everything will turn out awesome!:hump:

hey thanks Alliswell. So far the roadrunner is my tallest at about 3/4" and4 mini leaves. but ill put some more pics up in like 10 days when there's some growth worth the oooh factor

Alright So since I started I have been fighting a big heat issue In my closet. I saw an increase to 115 so immediately had the rectify the situation. First I switched the lighting to hps and moved it further above the chamber. That only helped shave off like 7-10 degrees during the day. So I saw a thread by homegrow0420 where he uses cfl's. I ran to Homedepot and grabbed 2 of the 2700K lumen 300 watt lights. So I went to set them up and dropped one which I will replace tomorrow. But so far the temps have dropped to 97-98 which is high but alright for autoflowers from what I have heard. No I realize that my plants have most likely gotten some sort of shock but I hopefully have just created a sustainable environment for future grows. I will put up some pics soon just need new batteries for the camera. but if anyone has some advice to help me out, let me know.

Thanks for the props, sounds like a good move. I was wondering what kind of ventilation system you have set up? 97-98 is better but its still way too high. I don't know if auto's are different, but generally photosynthesis can't properly sustain life without the temps being in more of a 75-85 range, sometimes a little higher in flower. I personally have 2 4" intake fans from old computers wired into cell phone chargers at plant height, and a standard 8-10" desk fan on top facing outward, heat rises and the size and speed of the intake fans vs. the exhaust fan makes for constantly moving, constantly cooling air flow. I also keep it in a cooler environment like a basement to aid in climate control, keeping an ey out for mold with the higher RH. It allows me to have 150 watt equiv. bulbs a couple inches from the growth points without burning them, promoting faster growth with less stretching. If you can't find something like a basement, I would set up an intake for the whole closet and an exhaust fan as well. making sure to put intake at the bottom pointing at the plants and the exhaust somewhere up high. For the intake you would also want to make sure and have it pull air from some place cooler. a "squirrel cage" fan is good for this. If cost is an issue you can rig up something cheap using flexible funas ducting or flexible dryer exhaust ducting and a $10 8-10" desk fan from any walmart, lowes or home depot:)

Can't wait to see the pics. I will follow:joint::leaf::peace: +rep

I definitely agree that 98 is a little high I just have read that the autoflowers still can produce in that heat, which isnt a problem now because I can report Im down to 93 and thats during the day which where I live is less that the current outdoor temp for the moment. Right now I just have a fan blowing new air in and two fans inside circulating air. This is ok but not what Id like, i think im going to save up and my next purchase will be one of the quiet like 70cfm bathroom fans for exhaust. with ducting out of my room. but pics will be up soon thanks for the help.

Alright so its day 21 And I am pretty sure that i must have stunted some growth due to my original high heats.
I have some problem plant though two of my white Russians are much smaller than the third and i am not sure why It might be over watering? I thought that so I gave them an extra few days and watered them today. Im not sure can somebody who has some experience take a look and see how far behind schedule i am. Thanks

anyone have any ideas, the two runt white russians are growing out but still have no stem. Is that from planting them too deep?

i planted a couple too deep before and they where similar in growth, it seemed slow but really its the same as the rest... they just started lower... lucky for you that means you got more below the surface on those ones which= more roots in the long run... i found that if the ones i planted deeper made it past the infant stage they ended up beeing stronger plants (even taller) than the rest. but thats personal expereince and not with the auto flowers, but just becuase they don't run of the photoperiod shouldn't change the general structure of the plant, so i would think that this information could be somehow valid/relevant for you?

good luck with the temps in there, i herd where you left too, you lucky bastard.. leaving us all in this shithole of a town hahaha we could have had a collaboration if you stuck around :weed:
