Last minute thoughts..

I Was about to buy some AKR seeds but as I was reading around someone said that its a waste of money on electricity having 20/4 lights on for an autoflower, and that your better off growing a photo-period and getting a larger yield.

So... What about growing a photo-period and vegging it for a week and then putting in on to 12/12?

Would I be able to harvest in 8-9 weeks?

The yield from an AKR would range from 1-2 oz in good conditions. Would I be able to harvest MORE from a photo-period in 8 weeks or not?

i can get gram per watt with potent auto bud both have pros and cons and 2.5-3oz per plant with easy ryder
most decent autos finish in 10 weeks not 8-9
so id veg a photo at least 2 weeks for a comparison also autos do fine at 18/6 as well

with a scrog screen use photos as it defeats the object using autos as i wouldnt train an auto unless i had to

If you're going SCROG then forget about autos.

You may think to yourself, shit I need another week vegging and the autos have started flowering.

Do you understand how a SCROG works?

You need to fill 75% of the screen and then switch to 12/12 to fill the rest.
You couldn't do this with an auto.

Thanks for that, so I think 4 photoperiods then.
Thinking of Barneys blue cheese

Yield:Optimum Indoor. 500gr/m2
Height:55 - 65cm
Flowering Time: 55 to 65 days
Harvest Time:End September
THC:18%
CBD:1.4%

Or nirvana swiss cheese

[h=2]Nirvana Swiss Cheese Feminised Seeds Specs[/h]
Height:medium-outdoor
THC content:high; 10-15%
Flowering weeks:8 or fewer
Yield (S.O.G.):400-500g
Difficulty:moderate

Something mould resistant
high yield
which can be chopped down
in 8-9 weeks

I can't remember what lighting you are planning on using?

Wasn't it 250w in an attic?

If so you will want a 3x3 screen and only 2plants. 4 would be a ball ache to control in that area.

Unless I'm wrong on the lighting.

go for an easy to grow strain like skunk no.1 or kaya gold if its your first grow

id go for 4 to save on veg time

Delicious seeds fruity chronic juice. Good medical strain. With a heavy stone.

4oz per 2ft plant. Big dense heavy cola formation. Good secondary growth. IMO a prime candidate for SCROG.

250 watt cfl to veg
and then a 250watt dual spectrum hps for flowering..

Now I could build a screen but Im thinking of getting some thin rope like material and making the net by looping it around the poles of the tent, what dyu think?

I read 2'' x 2'' is that too small or should I go with 3'' x 3''?

What would be the approximate yield, I know theirs a lot of factors to take in to consideration.. Also I will be using bio bizz light mix soil and for nutrients bb grow and bloom

also the pots are 11 litre, so if more than 2 will be tough I might go with 3

Interesting, I scrogged the same strain about a year ago; got two of the freebies from The Tude and it worked well. I was thinking to pop the other one and add it to my perpetual but am unsure of the absolute 9 week finish required..

you want 40w psft of scrog min of hps

i have done a few scrogs

a 4 plant auto sog would also yield well with 0 training in a 2.5x2.5 that is also the same size if you wanted to scrog with a 250w hps max

Yield is determined by too many variables to guess.

I would not have high hopes for stupid amounts of weight but between 125-250g would be considered worthwhile for your first attempt.

40w of light per square foot of your SCROG screen.

250/40 =6.25 square foot of screen would be covered by your 250w light.

3.125ftx3.125ft of screen under your 250w
