Quick question for you all. How many plants do you normally grow in one batch and how much lighting do you use during vegging and flowering?
565w of total led output - four plants. This may seem like an overkill but I can only grow four plants in my state (I could grow 5 but it would be a felony offense as opposed to a missy). I want to get max yield out of all of them. This method combined with proper nutes and 5 gallon smart pots yields 1 oz plus autos pretty much every time.

Here is one at somewhere around 4 to 5 weeks old. Sweet Caramel auto from Sweet Seeds - a kick ass strain that actually does taste like caramel.

I took note of that strain, it simply sounds amazing. Do you think you can post where you bought your LED lights? I've been thinking of switching to them. Smart pots seem pretty cheap and effecient. Anybody have any experience with air pots?

I use the Pro-Grow series from www.hydroponicshut.com. I bought several of the smaller units and am happy I went this route as it give me a modular set up. Having one moster 500w led is cool but you can't taylor it to fit each plant's stage of growth. I have 2 of the first gen 2011 180s, one second gen 14 spectrum 180 and a 2010 model PG 250 I got refurbed off ebay (4 panels total - one for each plant, which like I said is probably overkill but since I can only have four plants I wanna max them out). This was bought to replace two 400w hps and over 200w of clf side lighting. Check the journal in my signature man. I've done a couple grows with them now.

Smart pots kick ass, I'm glad I listened to dude at the local hydro shop who suggested I use them.

Hey I just wanted to post an update... I have 5 auto Lemon Haze's which are in my veg room with other regular fem plants. I been running the 12-1 light schedule and would like to report that, the auto's are LOVING the light schedule. According to my calendar these should not be ready until Dec 24, (70 days from seed using max date)

all the auto's are growing very very quickly, presently shortest one is about 20" and tallest is about 28", according the seed breeder these are suppose to max out at about 36"

There is NO stretching involved, sides are growing excellent. I will attempt to get some pics up and keep y a posted, I am hoping they flower just as well as they are vegging.

12-1 schedule is 12 on 5.5 off 1 on 5.5 off - restart
Normally used for regular seeds, have had a friend run it on a larger operation for a while with great success, so I finally decided to do it, problem was I had several auto's, i decided not to worry about the auto's, but so far I am VERY pleased. I am going to go get some pics right now.

Alright here are pics of my beauties. There are a total of 4 in the pic, the larger pots around them contain 5 other Lemon haze Auto's and some other regular seeds just planted in past week.2011-11-08_10-25-38_746.jpg2011-11-08_10-25-48_851.jpg

They are sitting under a 600w HPS, using GynaGro Grow & Protekt. Also they are in 3gal pots

Ha ha! I was just out there again looking the girls over now that the sun was out and the tallest Pandora is starting to turn royal purple on her flowering leaves and calyx's. I am super stoked to have a purple pheno that I've never heard about. Purple buds for the winter!

Hello brothers and sisters.Been reading this thead-got to page 120 so far.
I want to start my first grow but i have a few questions...please help.

my space is 135 cm high,90 cm width and 50cm depth.
inside i will put a hidro setup that is 35cm tall,50 x 70 grow space.
so total high will be 100 cm for plants and light(250hps).

Is this space enough to run a 250 hps?will it get too hot or will the plants grow too close?
i plan to veg under 250 mh.
for flowering i have the option to use 2 x 250 hps and 1 x 200w cfl 2700k.Do u think i can use both 250 hps?or 1 hps and 1 cfl?
is it worth to use more than 1 hps?i don t want to get the power bill to high but if that will have a big influence on yield i will do it.

what 60 days auto strains would you recomand(that won t get too tall but still yield ok).was thinking about Vertigo from Paradise.
how many?was thinking 8.

any sugestions about ventilation?1 or 2 extractors and how big?

I m a first time beginner at this so sorry for all the questions...i really need a smoke.

Thank you in advance!
Peace!

DSC00768.jpgDSC00769.jpgDSC00907.jpgMI-5 is amazing the final smoke will blow you away. It also breeds amazing well with photo period plants that is what I did. Took a fem MI-5 female and mated with the offspring of a male auto-assassin X female lemon g photo period. 90% autoflowering progeny. Named it blackbriar. It's the bud buzz lightyear has and the one not on the mason jar lid. Mason jar lid is MI-5

In terms for strains I love - MI-5, Auto-Assassin (both Short Stuff), Sweet Caramel and Auto-Blackjack (Sweet Seeds), Smurfberry (Sagmantha), and Santa (Flash Seeds). All of these will, if treated right rival a lot of photoperiod mj and yield more than one oz, sometimes more.

I used to use HPS in a closet set up. Do some research on leds, they really do work well. Advanced, Stealth, GLH, Hydroponics Hut - all of these four are excellent companies. Research before you buy if you go this route. The right ones work very well, but there is a ton of shit leds on the market.
