Hello everyone.....new to the forum as far as writing I would like to know how to post pictures or make a journal...growin easy ryder and would like to post

Welcome BombBudz

To post pictures you will first need to upload some pictures to your Rollitup.org photo album. You can find it by clicking the "My Rollitup" button and then click the "Pictures and Albums" link on the left. This is where you upload all your pictures.

To post pictures in a thread after uploading them:

-Go to the image in your photo album
-Copy the picture URL below the picture
-Start a thread and click the button underneath "redo" that looks like mountains and a sun, it says "Insert Image" when moused over
-Paste the Picture URL and click OK

Man they look great. The yellowing and red discoloration is 100% normal. They buds are drawing all the energy they can out of the leaves because it believes its about to die. It swells up and gets full of resin so in the wild the fat buds will protect the seeds for a while. Of course yours don't have any seeds but the plant is none the wiser.

Its pretty much like you are creating Autumn in your cab, hence the red/yellow/orange coloring of the leaves. Couple more weeks and most large ones will have died leaving you with a few fan leaves and lots of sugary leaves up on the buds.

Make sure you post a harvest report asap :)

Hi Guys,

I have been struggling with this my first grow. As you can see, I used the wrong light for the first week and the seedlings are approx 5 ". After taking advise on here I used some canes to make them straight and they are now coming on fine.

Has anyone got any advise that would be really useful

What week should I pollinate an autoflower?

If I had it to do all over again, I would pollinate 1 week after the first hairs show up. Each white pistil (hair) is a potential seed. If you wait longer you can get more seeds, but you run the risk of a lot of them being immature and worthless.

Keep in mind also, that a male will not be ready to pollinate to his fullest until he is about 5 weeks old or more whereas a female may be ready for pollen at 3 weeks. I would try to get a male that is 2-3 weeks older than the female in that case, so that the male has plenty of pollen to throw around and you get full coverage.

Of course, if you just want to pollinate a branch or 2 and not the whole thing, you could use a much younger male plant. I believe males AF strains are typically tossing pollen for the first time around week 4 on average. Using some of that pollen on just a branch or 2 should still let you get a few seedless buds, and also a few seeds for stock.

If you want to get as many seeds as possible, wait till the male is 5-6 weeks and shake him over a 4-5 week old female. You will get some seeds that dont fully develop, but you will get a TON that do. I got 472 seeds total from 2 Diesel Ryders that way. One was 5.5" tall and the other was 6", so that shows the possibilities when pollinated a bit later.

Hope that helps

Thanks for the rep guys, glad to help!

I did leave out one thing though....

If you decide to do a full on seed run to get as many as possible, dont think of your plants in terms of how much bud you will get. The reason for this is that you will want to let the plants go as long as possible so that as many seeds as possible mature.

AF plants will die after a certain amount of time, and the bud quality will begin to go downhill. Now if this means the difference between 100 and 400 seeds, I say screw the bud and let the seeds fully mature. Even the bud you do get will taste a bit odd and generally not get you quite as baked.

Let us know how your seed run goes, I think a lot of people are very interested in breeding their own AF plants. Lets show them how ridiculously easy it is to get a good seed stock going!!

Hey Kronic, I'm just now doing my first Hindu Kush grow and two of those girls look like sativas with their buds all scattered throughout the branches, while the third one has the bud all the way up the stalk like she'll be one big bud. Are they supposed to look different like this within the same strain?

Thanks!
