Here are some wild looking Af's I came across. http://s1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb357/HawkDidIt/
this is my album see what ya think. They are bushiest nontopped plants I have ever seen. Got 5 female and 1 male so I will have seeds.
here is one of mine.

If those are AF's you dont need to adjust your light schedule to 12/12, 20/4 seems to be the most effective with the majority of AF strains for the full life of the AF. Ya should of left it alone :D

Just pulled about 3 dozen awesome seeds from my diesel ryder. She will get the chop next week at day 77. Anyone have any luck with their autos with the 3 days of darkness prior to harvest? I tried it on my first grow and could not tell any difference.

Pretty sure that's a myth. I tried it on my first few Diesel Ryder harvests and could not tell any difference. I think its one of the MANY things that people "think" it should work but have no physical or scientific proof. To me its 3 days that they could have been taking in light and swelling, or 3 days drying. Just my opinion though, they will be bomb no matter how you do it!

I understand where you're coming from KolorBlind, but from what I've read (in credible MJ books) is that trichs are produced as a kind of sunblock for the buds, and when the lights are on, or the sun is up they degrade during the day, and when they are in the darkness are able to continually produces trichs without them degrading. So about 36 hrs of darkness is good for uninterrupted trich production, but if you don't keep them in the dark, chop before the lights are on before they begin to degrade.

KolorBlind, feel free to hit me up with some of those auto seeds you made a while back! :-P

You know a good site where I can get non-feminized lowryder seeds like you did so I can make my own seeds?

Im doing soil and cfls. I was kinda wondering what nutes and soil are best for autos. I figured it would be an easy first run and a good learning experience.

hi all !!!

so with the help of people i have come up with a soil mix for my autos ( soon to order )

start seeds in soilless mix !!!!( peat moss, perlite, vermeculite, worm castings, neem pellets and dolomite lime )

transplant into -
30% soilless mix,
30% mushroom compost with chicken manure, pumice and bark,
30% worm castings,
10% sheep manure !!

in a 25L pot - 2 plants in a pot at one time !!

plus 1 cup blood and bone, quarter cup pot ash, 2 tablespoon epsom salts !!

BOOOOOMMM !!! all organic and no nute burn !! i think ????

any suggestions ??:leaf:

peace

I am very limited on a space also. No taller than 3foot (which is big for an AUTO anyway) so that also plays a factor into this as well. Thanks to everybody once again for all the help.

Day 75.
Love this auto thread. Thought I'd share my girl with the good congregation.
I'll be giving thanks a day early this time. I just harvested my D Ryder.
She was 75 days from sprout, grown in 1 gallon pot using FFOF + Perlite.
Very little Tiger Bloom nutes at 1/4 strength + black strap molasses (occasionally) from week 3 til 7. Been flushing her for about 2 weeks and she just came out of ~36 hours of darkness. Got 83.5g wet. I'll let you know the dry weight in a week or so. Enjoy

I try to keep it simple and use stuff from Lowes or a garden center.
first is the soilgarden soil.jpg
then 2 cups of bone and blood mealbone.jpgblood.jpg
about half of an 8 liter bag of perliteperlite.jpg
I try to add more perlite than you would find in a potting mix so I end up with a lighter, airier soil.
I also add a couple of table spoons of lime. Sometimes I add eggshells and coffee grounds.

im growing automazar in a bud tent and i have just taken it minimalistic, peat pots with some soil/perlite/compost mix and kept under my light with intake extraction fans running and its sprouted without any problem just simple watering and within a week they have grown out of the peat pot and are about an inch over the soil, got the first leaves and have just planted into my gallon pots, roll on flowering stage

im trying to start a journal but im new to the site i will keep posts in this thread and also try to keep an update in my journal pics soon awell thanx for advice before +rep
