Autoflowering from 12/12?

Is it possible to grow an auto strain from 12/12 light cycle? How would it effect yield\plant? Has anyone tried it?

with auto flowering strains are best indoors with a light cycle of 20/4 and yea it will decrease yeild to around 20-15 grams for the plant what strain is it

That's not a good idea at all. Are thinking of doing it to save money on electric or just an experiment?

Electricity savings and I need to fit into 1m height cab (3 - 3.3 feet), and I want something sativa-ish or atleast 50/50

do you really tink it will affected the yield dat much?

The creator of Lowryder (the first autoflowering strain), says you should go 18/6 for at least the first month and then you can change it to 16/8 without any loss of yield. Autoflowering strains already have a short lifespan so you should want to get the most out of it. Besides that, how much do you think electric is going to cost you anyway? What are you running?

your defeating the object of lowryder and its auto flowering triat if you are are going to go 12/12 from seed then you would be better off using normal seeds.

1 the yeild will be better because LR are dwarf plants that finish around 12" tall under 24 hours
2 normal seeds will yeild more and grow more potant buds than a ditch weed x with somthing thats good in other words 2 super strong plants will give you more THC than somthing that as ruderalis in its genetics.

Yup...Even if you got an autoflowering strain with better genetics (white dwarf, afghan kush ryder etc), you would still decrease the yield to a point where you would be better off going with a regular strain like big bud said. It's not going to make that much of a difference in electricity unless you're running a shitload of wattage. I went from about 250 watts being used to ober 500 and saw about a $8 increase in my bill.
