Autoflowering strains and cloning?

I'm thinking of growing some Auto-flowering plants. I still haven't decided what strains i will be growing and I heard that auto-flowering plants cant be cloned. If so why is that? I would also like some opinions from you guys on which are the best short strains with the best yield production. That grow about 1-2feet max.

The clone is that , an exact copy , it'll flower like it's parent , so there's no benifit cloning an automatic .
A lot of the 60 day finishers will be that short for you , or look for a 90 day , for the big yeild .

I still don't understand why it cant be cloned? Lets say i buy a pack of seeds of some short auto-flowers strains. Once i have already planted them and they are getting a little big, I take a cutting or two before it has even started to flower and i try cloning it. You see what i mean? You think it would work?

The clone would reach flowering early and not veg normally. So you would have a small ass flowering clone which doesnt help out much.

Regular strains, the clone will veg for a while before you flower it, the autos flower automatically based on age.

That went over you'r head lol you could clone it / but it'll flower regardless like the parent .
You'd clone a non auto and use photoperied/light time to controle vegitative 18/6 or flower 12/12 .
An automatic will flower under 18/6 .

Thx alot for the Help JP and brer. Guess I'm not going to be growing auto flowers if i cant clone them =/ I need some advise on some really good short strains that produce nice big buds and don't grow more than 1-2ft tall. That would truly help.

well pick an Indica strain, they are shorter and fatter. I only grow auto's because i only have room for one cabinet.

Get a male and a feamale auto and make seeds }

All the autos that I see are all feminized lol

Attitude has some regular auto seeds ..

The joint doctor's are all 60 day quoted .

Nice , we crossed a lowrider male with a bubbleicious feamale { lost the auto } and got a strain that actually finished outdoor in Ireland , i get a cold cloudy season end .
Looking at trying something like this again , experement overwinter with something similar for next year's outdoor , been looking at dr greenthumbs 90 day iranian auto fem and will use an auto male to pollinate . So we should get an auto mix of that .

Dr.Greenthumbs=Safer imho but again it's your call.
