Automation of Grow Rooms

Hiya All,

I have installed an automation system in my grow space. This system will control lighting, a/c (temp and humidity), CO2, reservior temps, exhaust fans and supply fans. This gives me the ability to trend every point on this system to see what is happening in real time. This also allows me to see when and where things are going out of bounds. Here is a screenshot of the trend data( please note: just started recording in the space yesterday and you can easily see how quickly the environment can change with just a body moving about in the space.) ( humidity and CO2 go up fairly quickly when the system wakes up.

If anyone else is running a similar system, I would be very interested in seeing some pics and info about it. I am really interested in ppm/ph meters that have an output I can read, such as 4-20 milliamps or a 0-10vdc signal as well. If anyone has a meter that has those capabilities, I would love to get a name and model #.

Will be showing more as I add more components, such as res. temp control, outside air conditions ( temp and humidity ) and scheduling abilities. Eventually, I will have a grow cam in the space to keep an eye on things without being in there. I figure the less I have to mess with them, the better off they will probably be...lol

Nice, what hardware are you using?
The hardware and sofware are an older version of Automated Logic (exec 4). This was donated to me from one of the buildings we retrofitted a year os so ago up in Boston. All of the end devices are a mix from BAPI, KELE, Belimo(valves), Johnson Controls and Honeywell.
I write all my own programs for it, been doing this for almost 16 years. I used to have part of this system at the deer lease, but I am no longer on that, so I thought I would put it to a better use :)

I am looking for a ppm/ph meter with an output, but haven't found one yet in my price range. $1.5k is a bit much for that...lol

There is another guy on here - AdvancedNewbie - and he is doing an Arduino controller and I am pretty sure he has a PPM meter hooked up. You may want to contact him.

Here is a couple of pics of the a/c damper control (D3 damper), I get 99.9% closure to the room during CO2 cycles, the temp/hum. combo sensor and the CO2 sensor as well, the CO2 has built in relays and setpoint control w/deadband, it can stand alone if need be and lastly the lighting control relay with override and status, when the light is commanded on, and I do not get a status( through an internal current switch) I get an alarm on the computer. I will have this on all the lighting, pumps ( air and water ), EF's and SF"s. The bottom pic is the water pump relay w/status.

I have a few extra of these CO2 controllers, if anyone is interested, I am sure we can work something out. ( If this is against forum policys, please let me know and I will edit post right away)I don't want any trouble...lol

More to come.

Peace and Big Buds for All !

Been awaile since I updated this.

I now have 2 stages of cooling and 1 stage of heating as well as CO2 and Humidity monitoring. Here is a pic of the trend data. I also have status points on my lights via a current switch. If either light does not come on within 5 mins of being commanded on or goes off during the scheduled occupied times, I get an audible alarm on my pc. I will be adding CO2 to the room as well as my flowering light and will integrate those points as well. I am in the process of getting a langate that will allow me to access the system from anywhere in the world as long as I have an internet connection. I can place it on my home network and access it thru PC anywhere.

This shows alot of data, temp, humidity, CO2 as well as when my cooling or heating stages are activating, really keeps a tight reign on the room. More to come....
